An embodiment is an emissions reduction system for exhaust gases. The emissions reduction system includes a reaction chamber with one or more parallel flow tubes. Each parallel flow tube includes a heating element to heat exhaust gases to oxidize PICs and other pollutants contained in and/or carried by the exhaust gases. The reaction chamber may also include an adjustable bypass for the exhaust gases to variably bypass the parallel flow tubes. The reaction chamber may further include an oxidizing agent injector to improve the oxidation of the PICs and other pollutants in the reaction chamber. The emissions reduction system of an embodiment may further include a catalyst bed in fluid communication with the reaction chamber to further reduce emissions.

Method for operating flue gas purification system

A method for operating a flue gas purification system, comprising, in the flue gas purification system, equipped with a boiler which can burn oil fuel and coal fuel either simultaneously or switching therebetween, a denitration equipment having a reducing agent injector and a catalytic reactor, an inlet flue to guide flue gas discharged from the boiler to the denitration equipment, an outlet flue to guide flue gas discharged from the denitration equipment, a bypass flue which can guide flue gas from the inlet flue to the outlet flue so as to bypass the denitration equipment, and a bypass damper, opening the bypass damper and burning oil fuel in the boiler being in condition not yet suitable for coal combustion to allow the flue gas discharged from the boiler to dividedly flow to the denitration equipment and the bypass flue, switching the oil fuel to coal fuel when the boiler is in condition suitable for coal combustion to burn the coal fuel in the boiler, closing the bypass damper after switching the oil fuel to the coal fuel, and then injecting a reducing agent when the catalytic reactor is in condition suitable for a denitration reaction.

Exhaust case and combustion apparatus provided with the same

An exhaust case having the first exhaust gas flow path for flowing combustion exhaust gas passing upward through a heat exchange, behind a water-shielding plate and for guiding the combustion exhaust gas onto the water-shielding plate toward an exhaust vent, and having the second exhaust gas flow path for flowing a part of combustion exhaust gas into a space between the water-shielding plate and a horizontal plate part and further into the exhaust vent. A ventilation hole is provided for an upright plate part extending from the rear end of the horizontal plate part in order to flow combustion exhaust gas into the space, and is provided in the substantially horizontal direction. Accordingly, the exhaust case is inhibited to become large scaled, and a superior exhaust noise-reduction effect, a suppression effect of combustion oscillation of the burner, and a waterproof performance are able to be achieved.
