Certain exemplary embodiments can provide a system that comprises an electric motor, an electric motor housing, a cable and a heat shield. the electric motor housing substantially surrounds the electric motor with the exception of a protruding shaft of the electric motor. The cable is coupled to the electric motor, the cable is constructed to rotate within a stovepipe or chimney.

The present invention pertains to a method and apparatus for cleaning soot, creosote, and other materials adhered to the interior walls of a chimney using a mobile cleaning and vacuuming unit. The apparatus is comprised of a pressurized water delivery system, a vacuum system, a chimney cleaning attachment having a plurality of spray nozzles arranged radially about a central axis, and one or more extensions. The required length and corresponding number of extensions are attached to a pressurized water delivery system as needed to access the chimney interior. The chimney cleaning attachment is mechanically affixed to the free end of the extensions and the device is lowered into a chimney. The water delivery system delivers high pressured water to the nozzle abrade the undesirable material within the chimney. A vacuum system positioned near the base of the chimney removes the water and substances that are dislodged during the washing process.

A cleaning hose conveying module is proposed for the simple and quick cleaning of flue gas tubes, with which the cleaning hose can be conveyed from a hose store into a hose guide. A hose cleaning means is formed by a rinsing and drying unit for a hose after its withdrawal from the flue gas tube.

A filament retaining device is disclosed for a chimney and duct cleaning tool. The device comprises a socket having a bore defined by a side wall of the socket and a plurality of pairs of apertures disposed in the side wall of the socket, the pairs of apertures being separated longitudinally of the socket. The device further comprises a plug arranged to move in sliding relation within the bore of the socket. The plug comprises a plurality of channels disposed therein, separated longitudinally of the plug, and separately alignable with a pair of apertures in the side wall. The device further comprises an adjustment member for adjusting a position of the plug within the bore.

The invention provides a motor-driven chimney draft system with a flue gas inlet, a flue gas outlet, a flue gas compartment in fluid communication with the flue gas inlet and with the flue gas outlet, the flow of flue gases in the flue gas compartment having a flow direction from the flue gas inlet to the flue gas outlet, a motor compartment with motor having a motor shaft extending through a separating wall of the flue gas compartment, the motor shaft carrying an impeller for driving the received flow of flue gases in the flow direction; each of the separating wall of the flue gas compartment and the separating wall of the motor compartment extends parallel to the flow direction of flue gases, and they are arranged facing each other so as to define an air space therebetween, where the air space has openings allowing ambient air to flow through the air space.

The present invention relates to a combined fire starter and chimney cleaner for use in private households. It is well-known that creosote in a chimney is a serious fire hazard hence the chimney needs to be swept on a fairly regular basis by a chimney sweeper. The process of ordering a chimney sweeper can be cumbersome and expensive. By adding a creosote cleaning agent to the fire starter it will be possible to at least minimise the creosote build-up, which will extend the time needed between chimney sweeps. Thus the running cost of having a fireplace is lowered.

The present disclosure provides a chimney cleaning system. The chimney cleaning system may include a support bracket configured to couple with a chimney pipe. The chimney cleaning system may include a first swivel arm and a second swivel arm. The system may further include a spring that connects to a first swivel arm. The chimney cleaning system may include a gearbox, and a shaft, which may be a horizontal shaft, coupled to the gearbox. The chimney cleaning system may further include a chain having a first end and a second end. The first end connects with the first swivel arm via the spring and the second end connects to the second swivel arm. The actuation of the shaft causes a rotation of the chain about the internal surface of the chimney pipe thereby causing the chain to clean soot, creosote, and other debris from at least a portion of the internal surface of the chimney pipe.

A chimney cleaner that is conveniently installed within a chimney liner is described. In some embodiment, the chimney cleaner is integrated with the chimney cap that may be used to replace existing chimney caps. The chimney cleaner utilizes a cleaner tool affixed to a cable such that the cleaner tool may be raised and lowered within the chimney liner by shortening or lengthening the cable.

A chimney cleaner that is conveniently installed within a chimney liner is described. A soot trap for use in chimney cleaning which includes a soot trap housing having a bottom, a circumferential sidewall, and a top which together define an interior cavity. The bottom and the top have axially aligned push rod pass through openings. A closure is provided in one of the top or the bottom to provide access to the interior cavity of the housing. A sequential series of push rod wipers is stacked loosely in the interior cavity of the housing. Each push rod wiper has an opening that is in axial alignment with the push rod pass through openings, such that the sequential series of push rod wipers wipe soot into the interior cavity of the housing as a push rod passes through the push rod pass through openings.
