GAS VALVE AND GAS BURNER SYSTEM
A gas valve for a gas appliance of a gas burner system. The gas valve is connected to a gas source via a gas pipe. The gas valve is disposed with a check valve body, wherein the check valve body allows gas in the gas pipe to flow into the gas valve and prohibits the gas in the gas valve to flow into the gas pipe so the check valve body can thereby prevent the gas in the gas valve from flwoing back to the gas pipe. When gas in the gas pipe flows to to another gas appliance of the gas burner system, the gas flowing to another gas appliance does not mix with air in the gas appliance, thereby reducing the iginition time and enhancing the combustion efficiency.
Back Lit Temperature Knob
A backlit temperature control knob for water heater valves used with water heaters and more particularly to gas water heaters provides a way to read the temperature indication not previously known in the art. Some embodiments rely on a thermocouple or thermopile normally used to power a safety magnet with the pilot light system as a source of electrical energy to selectively illuminate a Light Emitting Diode (LED) which directs light through at least a portion of the knob to assist in reading the temperature indications.
Water heater pilot operation
A method of controlling water heater pilot flame ignition includes receiving, by a controller of a water heater, a user input and controlling a pilot gas valve to start a gas flow to a pilot burner in response to the user input. The method further includes, in response to the user input, controlling, by the controller, an igniter to generate an ignition spark for lighting a pilot flame. The method also includes controlling, by the controller, the pilot gas valve to maintain the gas flow to the pilot burner if the pilot flame is lit.

Heating chamber for a portable stove comprises a fixation mechanism for securing, in a leak-free manner, a container such as a bottle to a first surface of the heating chamber; one or more compartments fillable with liquid, typically water, dispensed from the container; a pressure compensation valve; and an outlet configured to release the liquid from the heating chamber.
System and method for burner ignition using sensorless constant mass flow draft inducers
A motor controller for a burner system includes an inverter that supplies current to a motor that rotates a draft inducer fan. A processor is coupled to the inverter and receives a signal from a system controller, and in response instructs the inverter to supply a first current, during a first period, to the motor to rotate the fan to produce a first mass flow through the burner system, the first mass flow having a first mass flow rate greater than a threshold to actuate a vacuum switch. The processor then instructs the inverter to supply a second current, during a second period starting at an expiration of the first period, to the motor to rotate the fan to produce a second mass flow through the burner system, the second mass flow having a target mass flow rate for normal operation of the burner.
HYDRATE-INHIBITING CHEMICAL INJECTOR AND RELATED METHODS
Systems and methods of injecting hydrate inhibiting chemicals into a gaseous fuel line of a burner are described. One system includes: an oilfield burner; a gaseous fuel line connected to the oilfield burner; a storage tank containing hydrate-inhibiting chemicals; a hydrate-inhibiting chemical supply line connected between the storage tank and the gaseous fuel line; and a control valve connected to control flow in the hydrate-inhibiting chemical supply line in response to the operation of the oilfield burner. A kit may be provided with at least the hydrate-inhibiting chemical supply line and control valve.
Thermal reduction through activity based thermal targeting to enhance heating system efficiency
Thermal targeting technology is used to continuously adjust boiler target temperature to the minimum necessary to satisfy the required heating load. Responsive to and initiated by a first call for heat, boiler target temperature is reduced by a predetermined amount upon or subsequent to the call for heat. Once the boiler temperature reaches this new target, a call timer is activated. If demand for heat is satisfied before a time set point is reached, the system ceases providing additional heat energy until the next heat demand. Responsive to and initiated by a next call for heat, the boiler target temperature is again reduced by the predetermined amount upon or subsequent to this next call for heat. Each time the heat demand is satisfied within the predetermined time interval, the boiler target temperature is reduced. If heat demand is not satisfied, a thermal boost is provided at set time intervals until the call for heat is removed.
Systems and methods for controlling water heaters
A water heater includes a storage tank, a sensor configured to measure a temperature of water in the storage tank, a burner configured to heat the water in the storage tank, and a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor and the burner. The controller is configured to initiate a call for heat when the measured temperature reaches a trigger temperature, wherein the trigger temperature is a differential amount less than a set-point temperature, calculate a reduced activation time when the call for heat results in a predetermined number of calls for heat occurring within a predetermined time period, and control the burner based on the reduced activation time.
Gradual oxidation with flue gas
Described herein are embodiments of systems and methods for oxidizing gases. In some embodiments, a reaction chamber is configured to receive a fuel gas and maintain the gas at a temperature within the reaction chamber that is above an autoignition temperature of the gas. The reaction chamber may also be configured to maintain a reaction temperature within the reaction chamber below a flameout temperature. In some embodiments, heat and product gases from the oxidation process can be used, for example, to drive a turbine, reciprocating engine, and injected back into the reaction chamber.
Methods and systems for controlling the products of combustion
The present invention relates to methods and systems for controlling a combustion reaction and the products thereof. One embodiment includes a combustion control system having an oxygenation stream substantially comprising oxygen and CO.sub.2 and having an oxygen to CO.sub.2 ratio, then mixing the oxygenation stream with a combustion fuel stream and combusting in a combustor to generate a combustion products stream having a temperature and a composition detected by a temperature sensor and an oxygen analyzer, respectively, the data from which are used to control the flow and composition of the oxygenation and combustion fuel streams. The system may also include a gas turbine with an expander and having a load and a load controller in a feedback arrangement.
