Each reactor includes a front wall; an end wall oppositely positioned to the front wall; a pair of edge walls connecting the front wall to the end wall; an inlet port positioned in the front wall; a pair of outlet ports positioned in the front wall; and a combustion chamber connected to the inlet port and positioned between the front wall and the end wall. The combustion chamber includes a pair of inner walls defining a first area to accommodate a chemical combustion therein, and a pair of second areas to accommodate an exhaust of a reaction of the chemical combustion. The pair of second areas connect to the pair of outlet ports. Adjacent edge walls of adjacent reactors directly contact each other to form the array of reactors.
Method for the continuous firing of combustion chambers with at least three regenerative burners
A method for continuous firing of combustion chambers with at least three regenerative burners, wherein a first regenerative burner cyclically in the combustion mode conveys supply air and a second regenerative burner in the exhaust mode conveys exhaust air. To avoid escape of hazardous process gases from the combustion chamber into the environment and high carbon monoxide emissions, and to provide energy-efficient firing operation despite use of compact regenerators, the volume flow of the supply or exhaust air through the first or second regenerative burner is reduced continuously and in counter-cycle mode to the volume flow of supply or exhaust air through a third regenerative burner at constant combustion chamber pressure until the first or second regenerative burner is flow-free.
Carbon fiber production method
A carbon fiber production method includes a carbon fiber production step including an oxidation step and a carbonization step; and an exhaust gas processing step including a heat exchange step; an external air mixing step; and a mixed external air supplying step in which the mixed external air is supplied to at least one step that uses heated gas in the steps in the carbon fiber production step; and among the exhaust gases, a high heating value exhaust gas having a heating value of 250 kcal/Nm.sup.3 or higher is supplied to an inlet side of an exhaust gas combustion apparatus and a low heating value exhaust gas having a heating value lower than 150 kcal/Nm.sup.3 is supplied to an outlet side of the exhaust gas combustion apparatus, respectively.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING INLET TEMPERATURE OF DEDUSTING APPARATUS IN OXYGEN COMBUSTION BOILER EQUIPMENT
A combustion-support-gas bypass line is provided to cause combustion support gas to bypass a preheater. A combustion-support-gas flow control damper is provided in the combustion-support-gas bypass line. An inlet temperature of a deduster is measured by a temperature sensor and the inlet temperature measured by the temperature sensor is inputted to a controller and is compared with a set temperature more than an acid dew-point preliminarily set in the controller. On the basis of a comparison result, an opening-degree control signal is outputted from the controller to the combustion-support-gas flow control damper so as to make the inlet temperature to a set temperature more than an acid dew-point.
MANAGING EMISSION PRODUCED BY A COMBUSTION DEVICE
Described embodiments include a system, method, and apparatus. The system includes a sensor device configured to measure an unburned fuel component in an exhaust stream from a gas-fueled combustion device. The system includes a feedback controller configured to generate a combustion management signal responsive to the measured unburned fuel component and to a target value for the measured unburned fuel component. The system includes a combustion controller configured to regulate an aspect of a combustion component delivered to a burner of the gas-fueled combustion device in response to the combustion management signal. In an embodiment, the system includes a user interface configured to display a quality of combustion information responsive to the measured unburned fuel component in a human perceivable format.
Systems and methods for operation of a flexible fuel combustor
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods that are useful for controlling one or more aspects of a power production plant. More particularly, the disclosure relates to power production plants and methods of carrying out a power production method utilizing different fuel chemistries. Combustion of the different fuel mixtures can be controlled so that a defined set of combustion characteristics remains substantially constant across a range of different fuel chemistries.
METHOD AND SHAFT FURNACE FOR BURNING CARBON-CONTAINING MATERIAL IN A SHAFT FURNACE
A shaft furnace for firing carbonate-containing material may include, in a flow direction of the material, a preheating zone, a firing zone, a cooling zone, and a material outlet for discharging the material from the shaft furnace. Burner lances project into the firing zone. At least one burner lance has a first penetration depth into the firing zone and at least one further burner lance has a second penetration depth into the firing zone that is greater than the first penetration depth. A primary air conduit may be configured to convey combustion air and may be connected to at least one burner lance. An oxygen conduit for conveying oxygen into the firing zone may be arranged such that oxygen flows from the oxygen conduit at least one burner lance having the second penetration depth.
SCROLL HEATING DEVICE
A scroll heating device includes a base, a reaction region, and a first and a second channel. The reaction region is at the center of the base. The two channels are located on the base and extend spirally from the reaction region toward the periphery of the base. The width of each channel is gradually reduced as the channel extends from adjacent to the center of the base toward the periphery of the base. The first channel allows a gas that flows into the first channel through the periphery of the base toward the center of the base to flow toward the reaction region at a progressively slower rate, enter the reaction region slowly through the gradually widening first channel, and therefore stay in the reaction region for longer. The combusted exhaust enters the second channel from adjacent to the center of the base and exits through the periphery of the base.
