Electrical household system and method of controlling an electrical household system
A method of controlling an electrical household system, comprises: starting a pyrolysis process in an oven, wherein the oven is connected or configured to be connected in signal communication to a household range hood; starting a suction device of the household range hood as a function of a communication signal from the oven, wherein said signal is correlated to the pyrolysis process in the oven.
Self-cleaning kitchen hood
A kitchen hood has a first housing and a second housing that slides into and out of the first housing to adjust a length of the kitchen hood. The first housing has a fan to suction air, an outlet, and an air quality sensor assembly to continuously detect air quality in a kitchen. The second housing has an inlet and suction grill through which air is suctioned, a steam cleaning assembly to automatically steam clean an interior of the kitchen hood, and a height sensing assembly to sense a height of cookware seated on a cooktop surface below the second housing. The kitchen hood may be lengthened or shortened based on the sensed height of the cookware, and a speed of the fan and the height of the kitchen hood may be automatically adjusted based on detections by the air quality sensor assembly.
Systems and Methods for Real-Time Monitoring of Boiling Fluid for Food Processing Assistance
In one embodiment, a method for monitoring for boiling fluid in a kitchen environment by a smart hood apparatus includes accessing sensor data indicating one or more parameters of a cooking utensil detected by the smart hood apparatus from sensors associated with the smart hood apparatus, wherein the sensors comprise one or more of a camera, a thermal sensor, or an audio sensor, and wherein the cooking utensil contains fluid, determining information associated with boiling events associated with the fluid in the cooking utensil based on the sensor data by algorithms, wherein the information comprises at least a boiling time required for the fluid to boil, and sending instructions for presenting a notification comprising the information associated with the boiling events.
System, Method, and Conversion Kit for Controlling Smoke during Air Frying in a Range or Oven
Embodiments of this disclosure reduce an oven's emission of volatile organic compounds when air frying. The catalyst does not require a self-contained heating assembly but instead is adapted for connection to at least one of a suction side and a discharge side of the circulation fan. The catalyst may be in the form of a screen or a foil bundle and have a mass loading of 10 g to 75 g per cubic foot of catalyst volume. The screen is sized for connection to the circulation fan and includes a corrugated pattern and coated with the catalyst on at least half of the screen. The foil bundle has a cell density in a range of 20 cells to 50 cells per square inch and is sized for location in a corner of the heating elements. The foil bundle can include a slew or herringbone cell pattern.
Systems and Methods for Real-time Adaptive Air Quality and Pollution Control in Food Processing and Other Thermal Processing Environments
In one embodiment, a method for controlling air quality in an unenclosed kitchen environment by a ventilation system includes determining an environmental state of the kitchen environment based on sensor data from sensors associated with the ventilation system, determining a current air quality of the kitchen environment based on the sensor data, determining adjustments for system-boundaries or air-manipulating devices associated with the ventilation system based on the current air quality and the environmental state, wherein the adjustments are configured to facilitate a target air quality of the kitchen environment; and adjusting the system-boundaries or air-manipulating devices associated with the ventilation system based on the determined adjustments.
AUTOMATED RANGE HOOD
An automated range hood includes a controller that selects a fan speed for one or more ventilation assemblies by identifying a minimum number of pixels that satisfy a threshold. The controller automatically turns on one or more light sources to illuminate a surface under the range hood when motion is detected or when the one or more ventilation assemblies are in use.
Exhaust hood weight sensor
A ventilation hood system is provided. The ventilation hood system includes a hood body defining an interior through which cooking vapors are passable, a support system affixed to a fixed body and supportive of an entire weight of the hood body and a weight sensing system operably coupled to the support system to sense and monitor the entire weight of the hood body over time.
Extraction hood
The present invention relates to a suction device for a hood, comprising a motor, and further comprising an impeller driven by the motor and configured to draw an air flow and direct it into an outflow collar; the suction device further comprises at least one flap connected to the collar and hinged on one side only, the at least one flap being configured to close the collar when the impeller is idle, and to be lifted by the air flow so as to clear the collar when the impeller is rotating.
SECONDARY VENTING ARRANGEMENT FOR GAS OVEN COOKING APPLIANCE
A cooking appliance includes a secondary venting arrangement within an oven cavity to supplement a primary venting arrangement with localized venting of combustion products adjacent a flame detector that detects a flame emitted by a gas burner disposed under the oven cavity. Doing so may assist with stabilizing the flame generated by the gas burner prior to establishment of steady state flow pattern within the oven cavity.
COOKING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATION
A cooking system includes: at least one control device; at least one extractor device; at least one cookware item; and at least one stovetop. The at least one extractor device includes at least one movable vapor screen device having at least one suction opening in operative connection with at least one fan device. The at least one stovetop device includes at least one placement device for placing cookware and at least one heating device for heating cookware. The at least one movable vapor screen device is movable to at least two operating positions with at least one different extension height in each case. The cookware includes at least one transmitting/receiving device for transmitting at least one signal with at least one identification signature to at least the control device, by which the at least one cookware item is identifiable. The at least one control device has a communications device.
