Heat Supply System
A heat supply system with a first temperature detection unit that detects a first temperature of hot water in a tank, and a second temperature detection unit that detects a second temperature above the first temperature detection unit. When the first temperature is a first lower limit temperature or less, where a temperature increase operation by a combined heat and power supply device is permitted, a control device operates the combined heat and power supply device and flow state adjustment devices such that a heat medium circulates between the combined heat, power supply device, and hot water storage device. When the second temperature is a second lower limit temperature or less, where a temperature increase operation by a boiler device is permitted, the control device operates the boiler device and the flow state adjustment devices such that the heat medium circulates between the boiler device and hot water storage device.
Heat pump boiler
A heat pump boiler is disclosed. The heat pump boiler includes a compressor. The heat pump boiler further includes an exterior heat exchanger that is configured to transfer heat between refrigerant and exterior air. The heat pump boiler further includes an interior heat exchanger that is configured to transfer heat between refrigerant and water. The heat pump boiler further includes a channel change valve that is configured to provide refrigerant compressed by the compressor to the exterior heat exchanger or the interior heat exchanger. The heat pump boiler further includes a first boiler heat exchanger that is configured to heat water that has passed through the interior heat exchanger from heat generated through combustion. The heat pump boiler further includes a second boiler heat exchanger that is configured to transfer heat between refrigerant and gas discharged from the first boiler heat exchanger.
Hybrid water system with an inlet and outlet bypass
A hybrid tank and tankless hot water system with an inlet bypass and an outlet bypass are configurable between a hybrid heater configuration and an on-demand configuration. In the hybrid heater configuration, the inlet bypass supplies cold water to a cold water inlet of a storage tank and the outlet bypass supplies hot water from an outlet manifold to a recirculation inlet of the storage tank. In an on-demand configuration, the inlet bypass supplies cold water to a cold water manifold for directly providing cold water to hot water heaters and the outlet bypass supplies hot water from the outlet manifold directly to a system hot water outlet. In the bypass configuration, a storage tank and/or recirculation pump are fluidically isolated from one or more hot water heaters to facilitate their maintenance, repair, replacement while still supplying hot water on demand from the hot water heaters.
HEATING UNIT
A heating unit comprising: —a housing —amino-carrying fibres contained within the housing; —a conduit for water; —means for delivering carbon dioxide into the housing; and —means for supplying heat to the amino-carrying fibres.
DUAL FUNCTION DOMESTIC HOT WATER PREHEATER AND INTEGRATED SPACE HEATER
Embodiments described herein generally relate to a domestic hot water (DHW) preheater operable to supply domestic hot water to a structure and/or to preheat a cold return of a space heating system.
DYNAMIC DATA COLLECTION FOR HEATING APPLIANCES
Systems and methods for dynamically collecting data from water heating appliances. A water heating system comprises a water heating appliance. The water heating appliance includes a controller having an electronic processor. The controller is configured to receive, in response to the water heating appliance being in a first operating mode, operational data of the water heating appliance at a first sampling rate. The controller is further configured to receive, in response to the water heating appliance being in a second operating mode, operational data of the water heating appliance at a second sampling rate.
Heat pump and method for controlling compressor based on operation of boiler
A heat pump may include a compressor configured to compress a refrigerant, a first temperature sensor provided in heating pipes connected to a heating device that heats an indoor space to sense a temperature of fluid flowing through the heating pipes, and a controller. The controller may be configured to determine whether a boiler is operating to heat an indoor space or is operating to supply hot water based on a sensing value of the first temperature sensor. The compressor may operate when the controller determines that the boiler is not operating to heat the indoor space and/or determines that the boiler is operating to supply hot water.
Self-powered water heater
A gas-fired instantaneous water heater including a thermoelectric generator (TEG) and a heat pump that is powered by the TEG to improve efficiency compared to existing water heaters. Water to be heated is circulated through the heat pump, TEG heat exchanger, and primary heat exchanger to produce a stream of heated water. An adjustable firing rate permeable matrix radiant burner is included, in which natural gas and air are combusted to produce combustion products, including heat. The combustion products are condensed in a condensing system to produce cooled and dry exhaust gas.
TANKLESS WATER HEATER SYSTEMS AND METHODS THERETO
The disclosed technology includes systems and methods for operating a fluid heating device comprising an electric heating element and a gas burner. The disclosed technology can include a system and method that can receive flow data from a flow sensor that is indicative of a flow rate of a fluid in a fluid heating system, determine if the flow rate is less than or equal to a threshold flow rate, and output a control signal to heat the fluid with the electric heating element, the gas burner, or both based on the flow rate data.
