A sealing device for sealing a space defined between respective end portions of an adjacent pair of orthogonal flange members of a conditioned air duct having a generally rectangular cross-section. The sealing device includes a substantially planar first plate member having a surface configured for placement in face-to-face relation with corresponding adjacent planar surfaces of the adjacent pair of orthogonal flange members. A leg member extends away from a generally central portion of the first plate member and is generally perpendicular thereto. The leg member includes second and third orthogonal plate members extending in respective orthogonal planes and having respectively orthogonal surface portions. The second and third orthogonal plate members are configured and dimensioned to engage corresponding respective adjacent orthogonal inner wall surface portions of the duct when the first plate member is positioned on the planar surface portions of the adjacent pair of orthogonal flange members.

HVAC MODULAR UNIFORM DUCT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
20230044627 · 2023-02-09 ·

A heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) duct system which includes, at least in part, one or more modular, uniform, pre-manufactured duct elements having a uniform takeoff on one or more sides for connecting to a run to be connected to an air diffuser at the end. Each of the modular duct elements may include a built-in hanger support element so that the engineer merely has to design a very simple modular run of duct elements without unnecessary computations requiring different duct sizes. It also makes it simple and uniform for installing on site.

DUCT STRUCTURE

A duct structure having excellent sealing performance at a connection portion between a duct and a piping member. The duct structure includes a duct and a piping member. The duct includes an opening in a tubular portion, and the piping member includes a piping portion. The piping portion is inserted into the opening and connected to the duct, and a foam rubber sealing material is disposed in a compressed state between an outer peripheral surface of the piping portion and an edge of the opening.

The invention discloses a duct section for an air distribution system, the duct sections including an elongate frame having two opposed flange members each having an opening forming an air passage therein. A plurality of the duct sections are able to be joined together through the flanges to form an air passage of desired length. Each duct section is lined with a thermal insulating material to provide a thermally insulating lining to the air passage, the ends of the lining being at least flush with the end faces of the flanges so that when adjacent duct sections are secured together, the thermal insulation lining of adjacent duct sections is arranged to provide a continuous insulating lining of the air passage.

Apparatus and method for forming duct flanges and duct work

An apparatus and method are disclosed for the automated manufacture of a duct flange profile to make small duct fittings, including a TDF duct flange profile. The duct flange profile is directed to small part duct fittings with section widths up to about 16 inches in 20 to 26 gauge metal. The apparatus includes a bending head assembly having a drive roller, a pressure roller, an anvil and a bending leaf and a roll form assembly.
