The method comprises: determining (s101) the condition of the cooling and humidification media (2) based on data from a sensor device (10) arranged in fluid communication with the fluid (4) downstream of the cooling and humidification media (2); and supplying (s102) at least one cleaning fluid (12; 14) to the cooling and humidification media (2) dependent on the condition of the cooling and humidification media (2). Systems and methods for evaporatively cooling air wherein a cooling system enclosure is alternately expandable and contractible. The housing is expandable for operation and contractible for storage or transportation. A water distributor delivers water from a source to evaporative media within the enclosure. Air is circulated over the evaporative media to cool the air. The enclosure may be expanded by creating a positive pressure differential between the interior and exterior of the enclosure. The water distributor and evaporative media may be configured to move from storage to operating positions within the enclosure as the enclosure moves from the contracted position to the expanded position. The enclosure may include substantially rigid portions that form a protective housing for the internal cooling components when in the contracted storage position. Wheels and stowable handles may facilitate transportation of the system.

Humidifier

Disclosed herein is a humidifier including an improved structure of a water collection tank. The humidifier includes a main body, a water supply tank provided in an upper portion of the main body, a humidifying fabric arranged in an inside of the main body and disposed below the water supply tank to receive water, a fan configured to move air through the humidifying fabric, a water collection tank configured to collect water from the humidifying fabric, a pump configured to pump water from the water collection tank to the water supply tank, and a humidifier lower cover coupleable to and decoupleable from a lower end of the main body. The water collection tank includes a water collection tank top cover provided in an upper portion of the water collection tank, and a water collection tank lower cover configured to be accessible through the lower end of the main body.

Air conditioner

An air conditioner includes: an air blower configured to take air from an inlet, and to blow the air from an outlet; a filter configured to purify the air; a first chamber and a second chamber taking the air purified by the filter; a humidification filter provided in the second chamber, and humidifying the air taken into the second chamber; and a divider opening and closing an opening that provides communication between the first chamber and the second chamber, and adjusting a volume of the air taken from the first chamber into the second chamber. The air taken from the first chamber into the second chamber and/or the air taken into the second chamber is blown from the outlet.

INDIRECT EVAPORATIVE COOLING SYSTEM

An indirect evaporative cooling system for cooling a space adjacent to or containing an ablution bay is described. The indirect evaporative cooling system includes a greywater source from the ablution bay and evaporative cooler apparatus located above the space to be cooled in a dome shaped housing. The evaporative cooler apparatus includes a wet channel, at least one spray nozzle, and a dry channel. The at least one spray nozzle is located at the top of the evaporative cooler apparatus and is fluidly connected to the greywater source and the wet channel. The wet channel is located directly above the dry channel. A first side of the dry channel is connected to a first opening with a fan and outside air.

Salt aerosol removal and irrigation water cooling system

A water cooling and salt aerosols removal system for cooling roots of a plant includes a salt water module configured to cool a salt water and to remove salt aerosols from an air stream, and a fresh water module configured to further remove salt aerosols from the air stream by using fresh water. The air stream exits the salt water module and enters the fresh water module, and wherein the salt water has a higher content of salt than the fresh water.

A humidifier obtains, based on detection values of a first and second temperature and humidity sensors, the amount of humidification, the amount of water evaporated by a humidifying material per preset time, controls the amount of water supplied by a water supply unit per the preset time to be smaller than a specific value when the amount of humidification obtained at the present time is increased compared to the amount of humidification obtained at the previous time, and controls the amount of water supplied by the water supply unit per the preset time to be equal to or greater than the specific value when the amount of humidification obtained at the present time is decreased compared to the amount of humidification obtained at the previous time or when the amount of humidification obtained at the present time is equal to the amount of humidification obtained at the previous time.

An evaporative HVAC apparatus is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the apparatus provides an at least one absorbent wicking layer having a first surface and an opposing second surface, and an at least one thermal layer also having a first surface and an opposing second surface. The second surface of the at least one thermal layer is formed immediately adjacent to the first surface of the at least one wicking layer. An at least one fluid line is in fluid communication with the at least one wicking layer. Thus, a fluid is selectively delivered to the wicking layer through the at least one fluid line which, in turn, permeates the at least one thermal layer and evaporates into the air located immediately adjacent the exposed first surface of the at least one thermal layer, thereby affecting the temperature of the air.
