Directly Heated Desiccant Wheel
An air treatment apparatus (10), such as a dehumidifier or latent cooling system, has a desiccant wheel (12) having a plurality of similar internal structures (14), a shroud (16), at least a first fan (18, 20), a motor (30), an axle (32), slip rings (34), and sliding contacts (36). The similar internal structures are coated with a desiccant, and may be shaped as blades, cylinders, boxes, teeth, or corrugations. The shroud divides the wheel into an active area where the desiccant removes moisture to provide treated air (22), and a regeneration area where the desiccant is heated to release the adsorbed moisture from the air (28). Switches, such as magnetic switches, apply electrical power to heaters in the similar internal structures as they rotate into the regeneration area thereby heating and drying the desiccant.
Dehumidifying air handling unit and desiccant wheel therefor
A dehumidifying air handling unit for an HVACR system includes a housing, a desiccant wheel, and a cooling heat exchanger. A desiccant wheel includes a metal organic framework desiccant disposed on a surface of the desiccant wheel. Rotation of the desiccant wheel moves a position of the surface between a first end and a second end of the desiccant wheel. The metal organic framework desiccant has an majority absorption-desorption operating band of 25% relative humidity or less.
DEHUMIDIFICATION MEMBER, DEHUMIDIFICATION ROTOR AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING DEHUMIDIFICATION MEMBER

The contact part includes an adhesion part adhered by an adhesive agent and silica gel formed on the air hole side from the contact part. The component forming the adhesive agent differs from the component of the silica gel formed on the air hole side from the adhesion part.
AIR CONDITIONING ROTATING BODY AND AIR TREATMENT DEVICE
An air conditioning rotating body includes a rotor having a cylindrical shape, and a labyrinth seal structure. The rotor is housed in a casing so as to be freely rotatable. The air conditioning rotating body treats air passing through the rotor in an axial direction. The labyrinth seal structure is provided between an outer circumferential portion of the rotor and the casing. The labyrinth seal structure includes a first protrusion protruding in the axial direction from the rotor toward the casing, and a second protrusion protruding in the axial direction from the casing toward the rotor.
