ACTIVE AIRFLOW ACCESSORY FOR TEMPERATURE CONTROL OF A ROOM
Disclosed is a portable airflow accessory for temperature control of a room, which provides efficient directed airflow of conditioned air from a small air conditioning (AC) unit toward a location selected by a user. The airflow accessory comprises a flexible conduit including a plurality of segments, including a first segment having an air inflow aperture, and second segment having an air outflow aperture. The flexible conduit has attached thereto, adjacent to the air inflow aperture, at least a portion of a fastener that allows the flexible conduit to be removably attached to an air outflow vent of a room AC unit. The airflow accessory further comprises a fan disposed within the flexible conduit at a junction of the first segment and the second segment, to facilitate movement of air introduced into the air inflow aperture through the flexible conduit towards the air outflow aperture
HVAC system with baffle in side discharge configuration
A heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a discharge section housing forming a chamber, a first opening formed in the discharge section housing such that the chamber is configured to receive an air flow from a blower of the HVAC system via the first opening, and a second opening formed in the discharge section housing such that the second opening is positionally offset to the first opening. The chamber is configured to discharge the air flow through the second opening. The HVAC system also includes a guide extending across the chamber and sloping toward the second opening such that the guide is configured to direct the air flow from the first opening toward the second opening.
Columnar air moving devices, systems and methods
An air moving device includes a housing member, an impeller assembly, and a nozzle assembly. The nozzle assembly can include one or more angled vanes set an angle with respect to a central axis of the air moving device. The air moving device can output a column of moving air having an oblong and/or rectangular cross-section. A dispersion pattern of the column of moving air upon the floor of an enclosure in which the air moving device is installed can have an oblong and/or rectangular shape. The dimensions of the dispersion pattern may be varied by moving the air moving device toward or away from the floor, and/or by changing the angles of the stator vanes within the nozzle assembly.
Ventilation system for manhole vault
A system for use with a manhole vault having an internal atmosphere, and, optionally, with a ventilation stack connecting the vault to an external atmosphere. The system includes a manhole cover, a ventilation pipe, and an air moving assembly. The cover has one or more through-holes extending between top and bottom surfaces. Each of the through-hole(s) is in fluid communication with the external atmosphere at the top surface. The pipe has a through-channel that extends between first and second openings. The first opening is positioned proximal to either an opening into the ventilation stack or at least one of the through-hole(s) at the bottom surface of the cover. The second opening is positioned in the interior of the vault. The device is configured to cause a portion of one of the interior and external atmospheres to flow through the through-channel toward a different one of the interior and external atmospheres.
Air duct device and air handling apparatus
An air duct device and an air handling apparatus are provided. The air duct device can include a housing, a first air duct, and a second air duct. The first air duct is arranged in the housing and has an air input end and an air output end. The second air duct is arranged in the housing and has an air input end and an air output end. The air input end of the second air duct passes by the air output end of the first air duct.
Air circulation systems and methods
Systems and methods for air flow circulation are described which utilize one or more air conditioning units as well as transfer grilles to move cooler air from one space to another. The transfer grilles can include bi-directional in-line fans to move air between spaces in discrete ducts located between the spaces. Motorized dampers can be controlled by a controller that receives information about various rooms and areas from temperature and occupancy sensors within those rooms or areas. In this manner, conditioned air can be directed to those rooms that are occupied and whose temperature needs correction based on a thermostat setting, and use of the air conditioning unit can be avoided when a cool air source is present in another space.
Bottom-mounted whole house fan assembly
A bottom-mounted whole house fan assembly includes an intake plenum mounted over an opening in a ceiling of a building. The intake plenum is supported on the ceiling in the attic of the building. One end of a flexible duct is connected to the intake plenum and the other end of the duct is connected to a fan so that the fan draws air in the building through the intake plenum and duct and exhausts the air in the attic from whence the air is vented to atmosphere. The fan is supported by at least one vertical strut that is connected to the ceiling at the lower end of the strut and to a housing of the fan at the upper end of the strut. A sound dampener is interposed between the strut and the fan housing and/or the ceiling beam to which the strut is attached.
GERMICIDAL DUCT ASSEMBLY
A germicidal duct assembly that includes an inlet assembly, an irradiation chamber, and an outlet assembly is presented herein. The inlet assembly includes an inlet duct connected at one end to the irradiation chamber and at the other end to a vent. A fan is used to draw air into the inlet assembly and to the irradiation chamber. The outlet assembly includes an outlet duct connected at one end to the irradiation chamber and at the other end to a vent. A fan is used to facilitate the flow of air from the irradiation chamber through the outlet duct. The irradiation chamber includes at least one elongated ultraviolet light source disposed in an oblique manner relative to a longitudinal axis of said irradiation chamber in order to increase the exposure time of the air as it travels through the inlet ducts to irradiation chamber and out of the outlet ducts.
Airchaser
Extremely lightweight device which hangs from the ceiling by 1 point (2 screws), used for absorbing/pulling in air, smoke and vapors and gets it out to the ceiling duct or window.
Made of 2 extensible sticks, having 1 point of support and 2 points of pushing on the ceiling. The hood (tip of the device) can be rotated/moved in the room 360 degrees, basically anywhere needed for the air extraction.
Air handling system with integrated air treatment
Embodiments of the present disclosure include methods and systems of circulating air in an enclosed environment. In such embodiments, the system may comprise an air handling unit (AHU), the AHU including an indoor air inlet to receive an indoor airflow from the enclosed environment and an indoor air outlet to expel the indoor airflow, a conditioning element arranged between the inlet and the outlet configured to at least heat or cool the indoor airflow as it flows thereover, one or more fan units arranged between the inlet and the outlet configured to provide velocity to the indoor airflow, and an air treatment assembly (ATA) arranged within or proximate the AHU, the ATA including an air inlet configured to receive a portion of the indoor airflow received by the AHU indoor air inlet.
