Devices and methods for outdoor heating. A stove device includes a fuel system attached to a combustion chamber to deliver fuel from a hopper of the fuel system to the combustion chamber for combustion in a firepot assembly positioned inside the combustion chamber. A distance between a chute of the fuel system and the firepot assembly is adjustable to change an amount of fuel for combustion and thereby control temperature of combustion. The distance may be decreased to decrease the temperature and may be increased to increase the temperature

High-capacity sparkless mobile double-insulated wood pellet burner unit

Embodiments of the inventive concept provide a high-capacity, sparkless, mobile, double-insulated wood pellet burner unit. The wood pellet burner unit is safely operated on a wood floor or deck. The wood pellet burner unit produces a large radiant flame that enhances the surrounding area, free from dangerous sparks and smoke. The ash and coals from the fire are enclosed within a double-insulated housing. A wind break radiant heat reflector protects the flame from being distorted, enhances the flame so that it remains in a substantially upright column, and reflects some of the heat outwardly toward the users. Casters disposed on the bottom of the wood pellet burner permit easy and convenient movement of the unit. The wood pellet burner unit disclosed herein produces a larger and fuller flame than a pure gas fire pit based on a balanced multi-directional flow of heated combustion air flow through the unit.

Apparatuses for burning a burnable fuel source, and methods of operating the same, are disclosed. The apparatuses may include a housing defining a chamber and a tube extending through the housing and disposed at least partially within the chamber of the housing, the tube accommodating a burnable fuel source. A tray may be disposed within the chamber and accommodating at least a portion of the burnable fuel source when received within the tube. A refractory brick may be disposed on at least a portion of the tray, and a plurality of pipes may be disposed within the housing such that, upon actuation of the apparatuses, heat from the burnable fuel source contacts the plurality of pipes. The apparatuses may also include an air outlet in the first housing configured to allow air from within the chamber to exit the chamber.

MULTI-FUNCTIONAL HEAT DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

A multi-functional warming system is provided to accommodate continuous or near continuous heat distribution for trauma patients. The system is designed for initial deployment immediately following injury in the field while facilitating continued use during transit and in medical facilities. The system includes an air distribution system and an electrical resistance system, each system being configured to work independent or in conjunction with each other. The system also accommodates use of chemical heating systems. The air distribution system includes a combustion chamber that is configured to selectively receive a combustion assembly or an electrical assembly, thereby facilitating respective combustion and electrical heat generation methods.

Thermochemical Material Systems for Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning

A thermal energy storage (TES) system using a thermochemical material (TCM) may have a discharging mode (i.e., heat releasing mode) and a charging mode (i.e., heat absorbing mode), both of which can be used in building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) applications. During both modes, the water vapor/moisture contained in the air interacts with the TCM. During discharging, water vapor is absorbed by the TCM and the heat of reaction is released to the air, resulting in a substantially dehumidified air which may be slightly heated and can be used for heating applications. During charging, the TCM may be heated to drive the reversible dehydration reaction and release the moisture to the air, preparing it for cooling applications.
