SNOWMAKING AUTOMATION SYSTEM AND MODULES
The invention is a snowmaking automation system and snowmaking automation modules for use with snowmaking guns and hydrants. Embodiments of the snowmaking automation modules described herein may be battery powered, and thus do not require fixed electrical infrastructure, but are designed to use such infrastructure if present on the mountain. In some embodiments, various components of the snowmaking automation system may be wireless and thus do not require hard-wired communications, for example between base stations, servers, databases, repeater nodes and remotely controlled snowmaking guns and hydrants with their snowmaking automation modules installed.

BACTERIAL PREPARATIONS FOR ICE NUCLEATION
The present invention relates to bacterial preparations comprising ice nucleation proteins. Such bacterial preparations can in particular be used for the production of snow or rain, for hail suppression or for fog dispersal.
Method for Containing Wind-Driven Snow
A method for containing wind-driven snow, sleet, ice and other particulate to prevent it from drifting on paths of travel and becoming airborne, obscuring visibility, and drifting. Method involves the application of liquid, slurry, foam, gel, powder, or heat to a desired treatment area with a field of snow in a diffuse pattern. The applied treatment prevents the movement of the loose precipitation either by mixing with the precipitation and freezing to form a crust or alternatively by creating a liquid or semi-liquid slush that is not easily displaced by high winds.

COMPUTER-AIDED METHOD FOR MAINTAINING A SNOW PISTE AND COMPUTER-AIDED SYSTEM FOR CARRYING OUT SUCH A METHOD
A computer-aided method for maintaining a snow piste, according to which state data relating to the snow piste are captured in a time-dependent manner. The state data include snow constitution data which depend on a constitution of a piste surface of the snow piste, a prediction model for the state of the snow piste at at least one point in time in the future is calculated from the captured state data, and information relating to the prediction model is output.

LIGHTWEIGHT, PORTABLE, EXTERNAL NUCLEATION FAN GUN
Disclosed is a fan gun snowmaker that utilizes an external nucleation device to create atomized water mist that is broken apart and frozen by a transverse air jet to create frozen nuclei, or snow seed. Further, flat spray nozzles that are normally used for spray washing and power washing are used that create a flat fan spray at the opening of the fan gun, rather than typical cone-shaped sprayers. The fan spray better disperses the water molecules into the cold, ambient air, which then combine with the frozen nuclei to create snowflakes. The fan gun is portable and lightweight and has anchors at each end that also function as jacks.
