METHOD FOR LARGE HYDROGEN LIQUEFACTION SYSTEM
A method for the liquefaction of hydrogen is provided. The can include the steps of: precooling a hydrogen feed stream in a precooling cold box having a heat exchanger disposed therein to form a cooled hydrogen stream, wherein the heat exchanger is configured to cool down the feed stream within the precooling cold box by indirect heat exchange between the hydrogen feed stream and a precooling refrigerant; and withdrawing the cooled hydrogen stream from the precooling cold box; introducing the cooled hydrogen stream to a plurality of liquefaction cold boxes, wherein the cooled hydrogen stream liquefies within the plurality of liquefaction cold boxes by indirect heat exchange against a liquefaction refrigerant to form a product hydrogen stream in each of the plurality of liquefaction cold boxes, wherein the product hydrogen stream is in liquid form or pseudo-liquid form wherein there are M total precooling cold boxes and N total liquefaction cold boxes, wherein M is less than N.
Method and system for liquifying a gas
A method and system for producing liquid air wherein liquid refrigerant is cycled between two core tanks maintained at a temperature sufficient to liquify compressed air passed through condensing tubing in the interior of the core tanks. Liquid refrigerant is cycled by alternating high pressure gas from a high pressure tank to one of the core tanks, which forces liquid refrigerant from this tank through an expansion device to expand a portion of the liquid refrigerant to absorb heat in the other core tank, the resulting refrigerant gas being driven into a low pressure tank. A compression device transfers the refrigerant gas from the low pressure tank to the high pressure tank and maintains the pressure in the high pressure tank. Connections between the low and high pressure tanks and the core tanks are reversed with each cycle.
Liquefaction system
Described herein are methods and systems for liquefying natural gas using an open-loop natural gas refrigeration cycle; coil wound heat exchanger units suitable for cooling one or more feed streams, such as for example one or more natural gas feed streams, via indirect heat exchange with a gaseous refrigerant; and methods and systems for removing heavy components from a natural gas prior to liquefying the natural gas using an open-loop natural gas refrigeration cycle.
SYSTEM FOR SUPPLYING GAS TO AT LEAST ONE GAS-CONSUMING APPLIANCE EQUIPPING A SHIP
The present invention relates to a system (100) for supplying gas to at least one gas-consuming appliance (300) equipping a ship (70), the supply system (100) comprising at least: one gas supply line (123) for supplying gas to the at least one gas consuming appliance (300), said gas supply line being configured to be traversed by gas taken in the liquid state from a tank (200) and subjected to a pressure lower than a pressure of the gas in a headspace (201) of the tank (200), a first compression member (120) configured to compress the gas from the gas supply line (123) for supplying gas to the at least one gas-consuming appliance (300), a second compression member (130), characterised in that the first compression member (120) and the second compression member (130) alternately compress gas in the gaseous state from the gas supply line (123) and gas taken in the gaseous state from the headspace (201) of the tank (200).
Multi-product liquefaction method and system
A liquefaction system is capable of sequentially or simultaneously liquefying multiple feed streams of hydrocarbons having different normal bubble points with minimal flash. The liquefying heat exchanger has separate circuits for handling multiple feed streams. The feed stream with the lowest normal boiling point is sub-cooled sufficiently to suppress most of the flash. Feed streams with relatively high normal boiling points are cooled to substantially the same temperature, then blended with bypass streams to maintain each product near its normal bubble point. The system can also liquefy one stream at a time by using a dedicated circuit or by allocating the same feed to multiple circuits.
LIQUEFACTION AND SUBCOOLING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A liquefaction and subcooling system, comprising a refrigeration device to provide a refrigerant fluid at a first and a second cold temperature that correspond to temperatures of the first and second gases, a subcooling arrangement coupled to the refrigeration device such that the refrigerant fluid is supplied to the subcooling arrangement, the subcooling arrangement having first and second subcoolers for exchanging heat between a gas to be liquefied and/or subcooled and the refrigerant fluid, wherein, when the gas to be liquefied and/or subcooled is the first gas, the refrigeration device is configured to provide the refrigerant fluid and the subcooling arrangement is configured to guide the refrigerant fluid and the gas through the first subcooler; and, when the gas to be liquefied and/or subcooled is the second gas, the refrigeration device is configured to provide the refrigerant fluid.
LNG production with nitrogen removal
A method and system for liquefying a natural gas feed stream and removing nitrogen therefrom.
HEAT EXCHANGER FOR A LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS FACILITY
A method of constructing a plate fin heat exchanger includes joining a first side bar formed from a nickel-iron alloy to a first end of a fin element formed from a nickel-iron alloy through a first nickel-iron alloy bond, and joining a second side bar formed from a nickel-iron alloy to a second end of the fin element through a second nickel-iron alloy bond to create a first layer of the plate fin heat exchanger. The fin element defines a fluid passage.
LIQUEFACTION METHOD AND SYSTEM
A system and method for liquefaction of a natural gas stream utilizing a plurality of asymmetric parallel pre-cooling circuits. The use of asymmetric parallel cooling circuits allows for greater control over each refrigerant stream during the cooling process and simplifies process control by dedicating heat exchangers to performing similar duties.
System and process for liquefying natural gas
A process of liquefying a natural gas stream in a liquefied natural gas facility is provided. The process includes cooling the natural gas stream in a first refrigeration cycle to produce a cooled natural gas stream. The process also includes cooling the cooled natural gas stream in a first chiller of a second refrigeration cycle, the cooled natural gas stream exiting the first chiller at a first pressure. The process further includes cooling the cooled natural gas stream in a first core of a second chiller of the second refrigeration cycle. The process yet further includes cooling a refrigerant of a refrigerant recycle stream separate from the cooled natural gas stream in a second core of the second chiller of the second refrigeration cycle, wherein the refrigerant recycle stream enters the second chiller at a second pressure that is lower than the first pressure of the cooled natural gas stream.
