A heating system for use with a can dryer or oven includes a gas burner, an electrical heating element, a heating chamber structured to heat cans using air heated by the gas burner and/or the electrical heating element, a circulation system structured to move air from the gas burner and the electrical heating element to the heating chamber, and a control system structured to selectively control the gas burner and the electrical heating element to switch between a first mode where the gas burner and the electrical heating element are active and both heat air provided to the heating chamber and in a second mode where the gas burner is inactive and the electrical heating element is active.

A number of first cool-air inlets and warm-air inlets are configured on the partition toward another side of the upper chamber. Noodles to be dried are placed in the lower chamber. Cool air produced by the first cool-air provision device is introduced into the lower chamber through the first cool-air inlets to absorb moisture from the noodles. Warm air produced from the first cool-air provision device is collected by the warm-air recovery device and introduced into the lower chamber through the warm-air inlets to dry the noodles. The noodle driving apparatus thereby achieves improved drying performance, enhanced energy consumption, and better drying quality.

The control system is programmed to receive a measurement from the sensor and generate an air system instruction based on the measurement. The air system instruction corresponds with at least one of the temperature, flow rate, and/or pressure of airflow directed to the container by the air system. The air system adjusts the temperature, flow rate, and/or pressure of the airflow based on the air system instruction generated by the control system. A process for drying an agricultural product. A drying system having a floor with apertures that are sized and spaced so that a volumetric flow rate of the airflow through the apertures is between 75% to 100% of a maximum volumetric flow rate of the air system.
