FLASH DRYING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF PRODUCING PARTICLES
A loop-type flash drying apparatus configured to dry an object to be treated with a gas by supplying the object into a gas stream circulating in a loop-type drying pipe, wherein the loop-type flash drying apparatus includes: (i) a loop-type drying pipe; (ii) a feeding port configured to feed an object to be treated into the drying pipe; (iii) a second blowing port configured to blow a gas into the drying pipe; (iv) a discharge port configured to discharge the object from the drying pipe; (v) a discharge region formed by the drying pipe and the discharge port; and (vi) a first blowing port through which a gas for accelerating a gas flowing in the discharge region is linearly blown toward the discharge region.
Systems and methods for solvent extraction
Systems and methods for venting a solvent are disclosed. The system includes a chamber, such as an oven having an interior volume defining a heating zone, where the interior volume receives at least one substrate coated with a coating material comprising a solvent. The system further includes a vent coupled to the oven and defining a passage between the interior volume and the environment external to the oven. The system also includes a solvent sensor measuring an amount of evaporated solvent present in the interior volume, and a fan removing at least a portion of the solvent from the interior volume. The system may also include a coating assembly including an applicator and a flow meter, wherein the applicator applies a portion of the coating material to the substrate, and the flow meter determines the amount of coating material applied to the substrate.

Bulk food processor with angled axial flow fan
Apparatus and methods for bulk processing items on a conveyor belt using an angled axial fan that extends obliquely into a processing chamber and includes a curved back wall forming an air flow chamber. The angled axial fan enhances air flow around a product being processed on the conveyor belt. A heater employs shrouds and a series of baffle plates held together using a connecting pin to heat circulated air in a low-pressure area below the conveyor belt. Baffles in an upper chamber mix and direct heated, circulated air over the conveyed product.

GRAIN DRIER
This invention in the field of grain drying, along with other particulates, provides an apparatus which dehumidifies air, then heats the air to relative low drying temperatures (95-160 Deg. F.), provides the dehumidified, heated air as process air to a system which uses the airflow as a transport method to fluidize the particulate matter and move the mixed process air and particles through a process column for drying. Once a particle reaches a designed moisture level, its mass will have been reduced, and that effect plus the velocity of the process air in the column will float the dried particle up and out of the column for further handling.

COMPACT HIGH PERFORMANCE THROUGH-AIR APPARATUS
A high performance through-air apparatus is provided. The though-air apparatus includes a through-air roll configured for rotational movement about a first axis, and a high flow circuitous air path inside of the apparatus that includes a path extending through a supply conduit, through the through-air roll, and also through an exhaust conduit. The through-air apparatus also includes a plurality of turning vanes positioned within the high flow circuitous path positioned to guide the flow of air through the apparatus. The through-air apparatus has a length, a width, a height, which together define a volume having a compact configuration. The high flow circuitous air path inside of the apparatus has a length, where the ratio of the volume of the through-air apparatus to the length of the high flow circuitous air path is less than 20 m.sup.2.
METHOD FOR DRYING A MATERIAL FOR IRRADIATION, AND INFRARED IRRADIATION DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT SAID METHOD
Known infrared irradiation devices for drying a material for irradiation that is moved through a process chamber have a radiator unit with at least one infrared radiator for emitting infrared radiation and have a counter-reflector with a reflector wall, wherein the reflector wall has a plurality of inlet openings for admitting cooling gas into the reflector space. Proceeding from this, in order to provide an irradiation device for the drying method, which irradiation device is, in particular for drying solvent-containing and in particular water-based printing ink, distinguished by high-speed drying with a low level of bubble formation and a low level of condensation in the reflector space at the same time, it is proposed that the reflector wall has at least one outlet opening for conducting waste air out of the reflector space.
