The cooling gas chamber may include a first cooling gas chamber portion with a first cooling gas flow and a second cooling gas chamber portion, adjoining the first cooling gas chamber portion in the conveying direction of the bulk material, with a second cooling gas stream. The cooler may include a separating apparatus for gastight separation of the cooling gas chamber portions from one another. The separating apparatus may have sealing element and at least one suspension element, to which a plurality of sealing elements are attached.
DIRECT-FIRED INCLINED COUNTERFLOW ROTARY KILNS AND USE THEREOF
Method of operating a long direct-fired inclined counterflow rotary kiln for the thermal treatment of material and counterflow rotary kiln adapted for same, whereby material to be treated is introduced into the kiln at the inlet end and treated material is evacuated from the kiln at the outlet end, whereby a main combustion zone extends inside the kiln over a distance of ¼ to ⅓ of the internal length L.sub.int of the kiln, whereby a supplementary combustion zone in which supplementary combustion takes place with an oxygen-rich oxidant extends inside the kiln over a distance from the inlet end of at most ¼ of the internal length L.sub.int, and whereby no combustion takes place in a heat exchange zone located between the main combustion zone and the supplementary combustion zone.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING SINTERED MATERIAL FROM AN INORGANIC RAW MATERIALS
Disclosed is a method for producing sintered material from organic raw materials, implemented in an apparatus comprising, a cyclone preheater, a rotary furnace and a grate cooler, and in which the raw materials are preheated in the cyclone preheater, the preheated material is calcined and sintered in the rotary furnace, and the calcined materials are cooled by blowing cooling air in the grate cooler, producing hot air. The hot air is separated into three upstream-to-downstream fractions, the three hot air fractions being at decreasing temperatures. The first air fraction acts as combustion air in at least the combustion zone of the rotary furnace and/or of the potential precalciner of the apparatus. The second air fraction is greater than the combustion air needs to produce energy. The third air fraction is directed at least in part to the combustion zone of the apparatus, providing combustion air with the first air fraction.
Device for cooling the opening of a rotary kiln by means of cool air-blowing
A device for cooling the opening of a rotary kiln via cool air-blowing, the kiln including a metal cylinder lined internally with a refractory material and being rotatably mounted relative to the frame of the kiln, into which materials are intended to be inserted and fired. The cooling device includes: the aforementioned cylinder and a metal cylinder end part covered with a refractory material and secured to the cylinder; two concentric metal casings, known as the inner and outer casing, which surround the cylinder of the kiln and form two annular channels; and ventilation elements that allow cool air to flow through the annular channels. The device includes: an annular distribution chamber which surrounds the cylinder, is secured thereto and supplies the first channel with air; ventilation elements including at least one fan and an electric motor actuating the fan, and supplying the distribution chamber in an air-tight manner.
Cooler
The present invention discloses a cooler for cooling particulate material which has been subjected to heat treatment in an industrial kiln, such as a rotary kiln for manufacturing cement clinker. This cooler comprises an inlet, an outlet, end wall, side walls, a bottom and a ceiling, at least three reciprocating supporting lanes for receiving, supporting and transporting the material to be cooled, the lanes are moving following the walking floor principles as well as means for injecting cooling gas into the material through grate plates in the lanes. With the present invention it is an aim to have an increase in the vertical shearing height, and still having stationary clinker on top of the grate plates.
COOLER FOR COOLING BULK MATERIAL
A cooler for cooling bulk material, such as cement clinker, for example, may include an aeration floor through which cooling gas can flow. The aeration floor may be configured to receive bulk material and to transport the bulk material in a conveying direction. The aeration floor comprises a plurality of conveying beams that are mounted so as to be movable in the conveying direction and counter to the conveying direction. A seal is mounted between two adjacent conveying beams, and the seal has at least two sealing elements mounted so as to be movable relative to one another. The sealing elements each have a sealing profile, which interact with one another such that a sealing gap is formed between them. The sealing gap has a double or multiple U-profile.
