Each spray conduit has one or more control valves and has a plurality of nozzles. A plurality of temperature sensors are disposed proximate the surface of the metallurgical furnace. A control system adjusts the control valves of the plurality of spray conduits in response to temperature information derived from the plurality of temperature sensors.
Cooling plate for metallurgical furnace
A cooling plate for a metallurgical furnace including a body with a front face and an opposite rear face, the body having at least one cooling channel therein having an opening in the rear face and a coolant feed pipe is connected to the rear face of the cooling panel and is in fluid communication with the cooling channel, where in use, the front face is turned towards a furnace interior, and at least one emergency cooling tube is arranged within the cooling channel, the emergency cooling tube having a cross-section smaller than a cross-section of the cooling channel, the emergency cooling tube has an end section with connection means for connecting an emergency feed pipe thereto, and in an emergency operation, the emergency cooling tube is physically connected to an emergency feed pipe via the connection means; while, in a normal operation, the connection means of the emergency cooling tube is physically disconnected from the emergency feed pipe. The invention also concerns the use of such a cooling plate.
COOLING PLATE FOR A METALLURGICAL FURNACE
A metallurgical furnace cooling plate includes a cooling plate body with front and rear faces and at least one coolant channel inside the body, which communicates with a rear opening on the rear face; and a connection pipe connected to the body so that a pipe channel of the connection pipe communicates with the coolant channel, the connection pipe adapted for carrying coolant fluid to or from the channel.
The body includes a receiving bore extending in a bore direction from the rear opening into the coolant channel, the channel being spaced in the bore direction from the rear face by a cover thickness of a cover portion and extends in the bore direction over a width. A connection pipe end portion extends into the receiving bore beyond the cover thickness and is form-fittingly received in the receiving bore along at least a portion of a width of the channel.

HIGH-TEMPERATURE FLUID TRANSPORTING PIPELINE WITH PIPELINE CASING FORMED BY HEAT EXCHANGE APPARATUS, SUITABLE HEAT EXCHANGE APPARATUS AND HEAT EXCHANGE METHOD
The present invention discloses a high-temperature fluid transporting pipeline integrating a heat exchange apparatus, wherein heat contained in a high-temperature fluid can be recovered during the transportation thereof. The heat exchange apparatus comprises a hermetic heat exchange cavity, and a heat-receiving fluid coil installed therein. The method of heat exchange is that the high-temperature fluid heats an auxiliary fluid in the cavity via a heat exchange base plate of the heat exchange cavity in contact therewith, and the heated auxiliary fluid then conducts the heat to a heat-receiving fluid in the heat-receiving fluid coil. As an example, the high-temperature fluid is flue gas generated by combustion, an upper part of a flue gas transporting pipeline is replaced by the heat exchange apparatus of the present invention, the auxiliary fluid is an inert gas such as air, and the air heated indirectly by the high-temperature flue gas conducts heat to fuel and/or oxygen-enriched gas flowing in the heat-receiving fluid coil (as an oxidant/combustion aid).

Graphitization furnace with rapid active cooling system
A graphitization furnace with a rapid active cooling system is disclosed, including a furnace body and an active cooling system. The active cooling system is provided with at least one medium loop unit and a control unit for controlling a flow velocity of a medium in the medium loop unit, each medium loop unit includes a plurality of heat removal pipes pre-embedded in a furnace cavity of the furnace body, and each heat removal pipe is provided with a medium flow channel communicated with the medium loop unit. The graphitization furnace with a rapid active cooling system can realize rapid active cooling, short turnover time and high energy utilization efficiency of the graphitization furnace, and has wide applicability, which is not only suitable for construction of a new graphitization furnace, but also suitable for transformation of the existing Acheson graphitization furnace.
FAST RESPONSE DUAL-ZONE PEDESTAL ASSEMBLY FOR SELECTIVE PRECLEAN
A substrate support pedestal connectable to a shaft includes a thermally conductive body, a first fluid channel disposed within an outer zone of the thermally conductive body, and a second fluid channel disposed within an inner zone of the thermally conductive body. The first fluid channel and the second fluid channel are not in fluid communication with each other and are thermally isolated from each other by a thermal barrier within the substrate support channel.
WATER COOLED BOX FOR A METAL MAKING FURNACE
A water cooled box to be installed in the side wall of a metal making furnace to hold and protect implements such as a burner, a lance, or a material (i.e., carbon or lime) injection device. The box preferably comprises a copper outer shell and a steel inner shell liner welded together, whereby a chamber is formed through which cooling water passes. The box further comprises an inlet and outlet for the water flow and a plurality of conduit passages between the copper and steel shells for mounting the aforementioned implements. The copper shell has bars or slots for slag retention and the steel shell has means for mounting the box into the furnace wall. The copper shell is formed into a curved U-shape for preventing cracking due to thermal mechanical stress and to raise the natural frequency of the panel to resist vibration which can also cause cracking.
