Convertible metallurgical furnace and modular metallurgical plant comprising said furnace for conducting production processes for the production of metals in the molten state, in particular steel or cast iron
A metallurgical furnace including a vessel with a lower shell for containing a metal bath, the metal bath composed of molten metal and an overlying layer of slag. The lower shell is tiltingly supported and provided with a deslagging opening for evacuating the slag and a tapping opening for tapping the molten metal. The vessel includes an upper shell removably positioned on the lower shell and first and second inlet openings for feeding. The vessel includes a closing roof for the upper closing of the vessel removably positioned on the upper shell and a passage opening for the passage, through the same, of at least one electrode, at least one charge opening for feeding, through the same, charge material in the solid state. At least one of the inlet openings, passage opening, and charge opening is closed or associated with a closing element.
Slag notch
A slag notch for a metallurgical vessel includes a steel member that defines a passageway for molten slag and a system for cooling the steel member.
CONVERTIBLE METALLURGICAL FURNACE AND MODULAR METALLURGICAL PLANT COMPRISING SAID FURNACE FOR CONDUCTING PRODUCTION PROCESSES FOR THE PRODUCTION OF METALS IN THE MOLTEN STATE, IN PARTICUALR STEEL OR CAST IRON
A metallurgical furnace including a vessel, in turn having a lower shell for containing the metal bath, the metal bath being composed of molten metal and an overlying layer of slag, wherein the lower shell is tiltingly supported and is provided with a deslagging opening for evacuating the slag and with a tapping opening for tapping the molten metal, and an upper shell removably positioned on the lower shell and provided with at least one inlet opening for feeding, through the same, charge material in the solid state or in the molten state, a closing roof for the upper closing of the vessel, wherein the closing roof is removably positioned on the upper shell and is provided with a passage opening for the passage, through the same, of at least one electrode and at least one charge opening for feeding, through the same, charge material in the solid state, wherein at least one of the inlet openings, the passage opening, the charge opening is closed or can be associated with a closing element of the removable type, and wherein the lower shell has a diameter D and the vessel has an overall height H ranging from 0.70 D to 1.25 D, preferably ranging from 0.70 D to 0.80 D if the furnace is used as an electric arc furnace and from 0.80 D to 1.25 D if the furnace is used as a converter.
Deslagging Device of Vacuum Inert Gas Atomization System
A deslagging device has an assembling rod and a deslagging plate. The assembling rod has a mounting head and an assembling section connected to the mounting head. The deslagging plate is mounted to the assembling rod and has a plate mounted to the assembling section and having a first face, a second face, and multiple conical channels. The first face and the second face face to opposite directions. The first face faces to the mounting head. The multiple conical channels are defined through the plate and spaced apart from one another. Each one of the multiple conical channels has a first opening and a second opening. The first opening is formed in the first face of the plate and has a diameter. The second opening is formed in the second face of the plate and has a diameter larger than the diameter of the first opening.
SLAG NOTCH
A slag notch for a metallurgical vessel includes a steel member defines a passageway for molten slag and a system for cooling the steel member.
Slag discharge door device for an electric furnace
A slag discharge door device for an electric furnace is provided. The device prevents slag from flowing out via a slag discharge port by making a discharge control door body move up and down to and from the upper surface of a supporting body where slag is discharged by flowing to the upper surface, and the discharge of slag is controlled, such that during steel-making work in the electric furnace, the outflow of slag is prevented and heat losses are reduced, the efficiency of arc heat due to the formation of foamed slag is increased, and valuable metals are recovered from the molten slag thereby increasing the percentage of molten steel recovered.
