A radiator core includes a head tube and a tube module mounted on the head tube. The head tube is provided with multiple tube slots having multiple first sides and multiple second sides. The tube module includes multiple first tubes and multiple second tubes mounted in the tube slots. Each of the first tubes is provided with a first connecting portion having an increased thickness and resting on one of the first sides of the tube slots. Each of the second tubes is provided with a second connecting portion having an increased thickness and resting on one of the second sides of the tube slots.

FLAT HEAT EXCHANGER TUBE

A flat heat exchanger tube is formed from a single metal strip and comprising two opposite spaced apart broad sides in a thickness direction of said tube and two opposite nose-forming narrow sides in a width direction of said tube. The strip has two longitudinal edges, the first longitudinal edge being contiguous to the first broad side and the second longitudinal edge being contiguous to the second broad side. The two longitudinal edges of the strip are joined together at a first one of the narrow sides, both longitudinal edges being convex-shaped so that the first edge forms an outer convex bend and the second edge forms an inner convex bend that fits in the outer convex bend and conforms to its internal curvature.

A heat exchanger includes tubes arranged in a stacking direction and a tank connected to the tubes. A tube of the tubes has a pair of flat portions having flat plate shapes facing each other, and a curved portion connecting ends of the pair of flat portions. The tank includes a plate having insertion holes into which the tubes are inserted, and container. The plate has a first portion along a longitudinal direction of the tubes, and a second portion extending from an end of the first portion toward the container. When the plate is viewed in the stacking direction, a boundary between the first portion and the second portion is shifted from a boundary between each of the pair of flat portions and the curved portion toward the pair of flat portions.

Heat exchange tube and heat exchanger having the same

A heat exchange tube and a heat exchanger are provided. A tube wall of the heat exchange tube includes a first wall and a second wall, a first segment of the first wall includes one of a first groove or a first protrusion, a second segment of the first wall includes one of a second groove or a second protrusion, a first segment of the second wall includes the other one of the first groove or the first protrusion, the first protrusion is arranged in the first groove, the second segment of the second wall includes the other one of the second groove or the second protrusion, and the second protrusion is arranged in the second groove. At least part of each of the first segment and the second segment of the first wall is arranged between the first segment and the second segment of the second wall.

B-tube reform for improved thermal cycle performance

A tube for use in a heat exchanger includes an upper portion, a base portion spaced from the upper portion, and a partitioning wall depending from the upper portion. The partitioning wall is bent away and spaced from the base portion in a first section of the tube to form a single flow channel within the tube along the first section. The partitioning wall contacts the base portion in a second section of the tube to form a partition separating a first flow channel from a second flow channel along the second section. The first section of the tube is configured for reception into an opening of a header tank of the heat exchanger.

HEAT EXCHANGER

A heat exchanger includes tubes arranged side by side, and a tank connected to ends of the tubes. The heat exchanger performs heat exchange between a first fluid flowing inside the tubes and a second fluid flowing outside the tubes. The heat exchanger includes a closing member disposed inside the tank and partially closing an opening provided at an end of a predetermined tube that is at least one of the tubes. The predetermined tube has a protrusion formed at the end of the predetermined tube. The closing member has an avoiding structure that avoids interference between the protrusion and the closing member.

Heat exchanger

A heat exchanger includes multiple tubes and multiple fins. Each of the tubes has a tubular shape extending in a horizontal direction. Each of the fins is disposed between adjacent ones of the tubes in a vertical direction vertical to the horizontal direction. Each of the fins is corrugated and includes bent portions located near the adjacent ones of the tubes and flat plate portions each of which extends in the vertical direction to connect between two of the bent portions. Each of the fins includes a pair of slits and an offset portion. At least a portion of the pair of slits extends to one of the bent portions. The offset portion is formed by having a portion of each of the fins between the pair of slits recessed inward of the one of the bent portions.

A heat exchanger includes: a plurality of tubes arranged in an up-down direction; and a reinforcing plate arranged on a lower side of a lowermost tube of the plurality of tubes. The reinforcing plate has a bent portion protruding downward and extending along a longitudinal direction of the tube. The bent portion includes at least one discharge hole to discharge a condensed water. The discharge hole is formed by an upstream rib extending from the upper side toward the discharge hole in an upstream region and a downstream rib extending from the upper side toward the discharge hole in a downstream region, and a height dimension of the upstream rib is different from a height dimension of the downstream rib at least partially along a longitudinal direction of the tube.

A heat exchanger includes tubes, a tank, and a prevention plate arranged inside the tank and contacting end surfaces of the tubes to prevent heat medium from flowing into the tubes in a certain region. Flow paths are formed in each tube and arranged in a width direction of the tube. The prevention plate includes a deformable portion elastically deformable by contacting an edge of the opening at a time of inserting the prevention plate into the tank from the opening. The deformable portion of the prevention plate that has been inserted into the tank is restored and receives a reaction force from an inner surface of the tank such that the prevention plate is shifted along the width direction by the reaction force.
