HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger comprises a jacket element and an insert element. The jacket element is configured as a fluid channel for a fluid to be tempered. The insert element is arranged in the fluid channel. The insert element includes web elements which are connected to the jacket element at different locations. Some of the web elements contain web element channels which are fluidly connected with the jacket element, so that in the operating state, a heat transfer fluid which is supplied to the jacket element can flow through the web elements. The jacket element contains chambers for a heat transfer fluid. The chambers contain one inlet opening and one outlet opening for the heat transfer fluid. The inlet opening and the outlet opening of the chamber are connected to the web element channels of two web elements each, which belong to the same row of web elements.

The first heat transfer pipe group (10) is disposed in the lower part of the space in the casing (5) so as to be immersed in the refrigerant and comprises a plurality of heat transfer pipes (12) through which liquid to be cooled flows. The second heat transfer pipe group (11) is provided in the space in the casing (5) at a position below the refrigerant supply section (7) and above the liquid level of the refrigerant, and comprises a plurality of second heat transfer pipes (13) through which liquid to be cooled flows.
Finned heat exchanger U-bends, manifolds, and distributor tubes
A heat exchanger includes a frame and a plurality of coil passes disposed within the frame. The plurality of coil passes is configured to direct a flow of a refrigerant therethrough to transfer heat with an air flow passing over the heat exchanger. The plurality of coil passes include a U-bend disposed between first and second linear portions of the plurality of coil passes to redirect the refrigerant from a first longitudinal end of the heat exchanger to a second longitudinal end of the heat exchanger. Additionally, a first plurality of fins is disposed on an outer surface the U-bend.
Stirling cycle machine
A rod seal assembly. The rod seal assembly includes a housing between two spaces configured to receive a reciprocating rod, the reciprocating rod disposed within a first space and a second space, a floating bushing configured to move axially and radially within the housing and disposed coaxially around the reciprocating rod, a rod seal configured to seal the outside diameter of the reciprocating rod relative to an inside surface of the floating bushing, and at least one stationary bushing fixed within the housing that may form a seal with the floating bushing to the axial flow of fluid in the presence of a pressure difference between the two spaces.
Floating rod seal for a stirling cycle machine
A piston rod seal unit. The piston rod seal unit includes a housing, a cylinder gland, and at least one floating rod seal assembly mounted in the cylinder gland, the floating rod seal assembly comprising at least one rod seal mounted onto the floating rod seal assembly.
Linear cross-head bearing for stirling engine
An external combustion engine including a burner element, a heater head, a piston cylinder containing a piston, a cooler and a crankcase. The crankcase includes a crankshaft, a piston rod connected to the piston, a drive mechanism for converting the linear motion of the piston rod to rotary motion of the crankshaft and a linear cross-head bearing that is connected rigidly to the piston rod at one end and to the drive mechanism at the other end. Also the external combustion engine includes a piston clearance seal and a piston rod seal unit that has floating rod seals. The piston includes a inner dome to reduce axial heat transfer via radiation and convection.
Stirling cycle machine
A Stirling cycle machine. The machine includes at least one rocking drive mechanism including a rocking beam having a rocker pivot, at least one cylinder and at least one piston. The piston is housed within a respective cylinder and is capable of substantially linearly reciprocating within the respective cylinder. The drive mechanism includes at least one coupling assembly. Also, a crankcase housing the rocking beam and housing a first portion of the coupling assembly is included. The machine also includes a working space housing the at least one cylinder, the at least one piston and a second portion of the coupling assembly. An airlock is included between the workspace and the crankcase and a seal is included for sealing the workspace from the airlock and crankcase. A burner and burner control system is also included for heating the machine and controlling ignition and combustion in the burner.
HEAT EXCHANGER
The heat exchanger comprises at least one gas flow channel, at least one water flow channel, and a metal wall delimiting the gas flow channel from the water flow channel. The at least one water flow channel comprises a number of consecutive parallel straight segments. Two consecutive parallel straight segments are separated by a wall and by a U-turn comprising an upstream section and a downstream section. The upstream and the downstream sections are defined as the sections of the U-turn delimited on the one hand by the plane of the wall separating the two consecutive parallel straight segments; and on the other hand by the plane through the end section of the wall separating the two consecutive parallel straight segments, the plane which is parallel with the width direction of the water flow channel and which is perpendicular to the plane of the wall separating the two consecutive parallel straight segments. In at least two U-turns the upstream section has a volume that is at least 20% lower than the volume of the downstream section.
HEAT EXCHANGE DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HEAT EXCHANGE DEVICE
A heat exchange device has a heat transfer member having thermal conductivity and a fin that is provided integrally with the heat transfer member. A heat transfer is performed between the heat transfer member and the fin.
