Heat exchanger for use in cooling liquids
A heat exchanger has at least one inlet and outlet to permit circulation of refrigerant therethrough. Each heat exchanger includes a plurality of thin sections of material arranged between a pair of thin flat outer plates. Each of the thin sections of material is comprised of parallel flow paths, allowing for the refrigerant to flow through the inlet, then from one section to the next, and finally out the outlet. The arrangement of the sections of parallel flow paths allows for the refrigerant to come into contact with the majority of the inside wall of the outer plates, allowing for maximum heat exchange. In use for cooling liquids, the heat exchangers are arranged within a frame and brought into contact with the liquid to be cooled. When the heat exchangers are used to cool liquid sufficiently to produce ice crystals, a rotating scraping device sweeps across the surface of the heat exchanger, removing any ice crystals that have formed.
Heat Exchanger, Cooled Device Assembly Comprising the Heat Exchanger, and Method for Manufacturing the Heat Exchanger
A heat exchanger including a corrugated heat transfer sheet having a first surface and a second surface on opposite sides thereof, a first flow channel for a first fluid flow in a first flow direction parallel to a longitudinal direction, and a second flow channel for a second fluid flow in a second flow direction parallel to the longitudinal direction, the second flow direction being opposite to the first flow direction. The heat exchanger includes a channel dividing system which provides the first flow channel and the second flow channel on opposite sides of the corrugated heat transfer sheet such that the first fluid flow is adapted to be in contact with the first surface, and the second fluid flow is adapted to be in contact with the second surface.
DOUBLE PLATE HEAT EXCHANGER
A plate heat exchanger (1) includes a stack of plate elements (2), each plate element (2) being of a double wall construction having a first heat transfer plate (10) and a second heat transfer plate (20), each having a central heat exchanging portion (40) provided with surface patterns (45) adapted for a surface pattern (45) of first heat transfer plate (10) of one plate element (2) to contact a surface pattern (45) of a second heat transfer plate (20) of a neighbouring plate element (2) forming a first flow path (A) for a first fluid at the one side and second flow path for a second fluid (B) at the second side of a plate element (2), where the plate elements (2) are formed with openings (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) in opening areas (30a, 30b, 30c, 30d), wherein a first heat transfer plate (10) in an opening area (30a, 30b, 30c, 30d) is formed with a closed projection (50) projecting in a first direction, and in the same opening area (30a, 30b, 30c, 30d) is formed with an open projection (65) formed on a second direction being opposite to the first direction, such that the closed (50) and open (65) projections together defines a first leak cavity (70).
Plate heat exchanger and heat pump device including the same
A plate heat exchanger includes heat transfer plates each of which has openings at four corners thereof, and which are stacked together. The heat transfer plates are partially brazed together such that a first flow passage through which first fluid flows and a second flow passage through which second fluid flows are alternately arranged, with an associated heat transfer plate interposed between the first and second flow passages. The openings at each of the four corners communicate with each other, thereby forming a first header and a second header, the first header allowing the first fluid to flow into and flow out of the first flow passage, the second header allowing the second fluid to flow into and flow out of the second flow passage.
Heat exchange structures and methods of exchanging heat between fluid flows in heat exchange structures
A heat exchange structure includes a primary heat exchange body with a first fluid channel fluidly separated from a second fluid channel by a barrier channel, an inlet manifold in fluid communication with the first fluid channel, and a secondary heat exchange body. The secondary heat exchange body is in fluid communication with the barrier channel, is arranged within the inlet manifold, and fluidly couples the barrier channel to the external environment. Fluid systems and heat exchange methods are also described.
Coldplate with heat transfer module
A coldplate assembly includes a plurality of leak-tight conduit modules provided between a base and a cover to couple a first manifold cavity to a second manifold cavity. Each leak-tight conduit module includes a heat conducting structure and is pre-constructed and pre-tested prior to integration into the coldplate assembly. Each leak-tight conduit module is sealed only near the ends of the module that are disposed in the respective manifold cavity.
Heat exchanger plate and a plate heat exchanger with insulated sensor internal to heat exchange area
A plate heat exchanger includes a heat exchanger plate having a heat transfer area and an edge area, extending around the heat transfer area. The heat exchanger plate is a double wall plate formed by two adjoining plates compressed to be in contact with each other. A sensor configured to sense at least one parameter and to produce a signal depending on the parameter includes a sensor probe that is provided between the adjoining plates.
Plate heat exchanger
A flow-path forming gasket is interposed between peripheries of each adjacent ones of stacked heat transfer plates; communicating-path forming gaskets are each installed, surrounding the passage holes in each adjacent ones of the heat transfer plates alternately; and thereby a first flow path adapted to pass a high-temperature fluid, a second flow path adapted to pass a low-temperature fluid, and communicating paths adapted to cause the fluids, respectively, to flow in and out of the first and second flow paths are formed alternately on opposite sides of each heat transfer plate. A drain hole is formed in each of the heat transfer plates to discharge fluid leaking from the first flow path, the second flow path, or the communicating path. The drain hole is surrounded by gaskets isolated from the first flow path, the second flow path, or the communicating path. A leakage flow path or a leakage collector is formed by the gaskets.
