Structured firearm barrel
A barrel having a monolithic body, formed of an elongate structure extending from a breach end to a muzzle end; a projectile bore extending from a projectile chamber to the muzzle end; and a sleeve material positioned around at least a portion of the barrel to encompass at least a portion of the barrel, wherein the sleeve material includes filler particles embedded or dispersed within the sleeve material.

AMMUNITION LAUNCHING DEVICE
A launching device comprising at least two tubes intended to receive an ammunition round and each secured to a mount, the mounts being carried by a base, each tube being orientable in elevation and in bearing by motor means, a first motor means ensuring the pointing in bearing of the two tubes simultaneously and a second motor means ensuring the pointing in elevation of the two tubes simultaneously. The bearing pointing axes of the two tubes are parallel to each other and each mount includes a sleeve carrying the tube, said sleeve being mounted so as to pivot in elevation relative to a fork, the fork being itself mounted so as to pivot in bearing relative to the base.
EXTENDED LIFE COMPOSITE MATRIX-WRAPPED LIGHTWEIGHT FIREARM BARREL
A firearm barrel and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. In some embodiments, a barrel for a firearm may be provided. The barrel may comprise a chamber, an entire geometry of which is formed to a final depth. After providing the barrel with the entire geometry of the chamber being formed to the final depth, a material modification process that modifies one or more properties of the barrel may be performed. After performing the material modification process, a composite matrix wrapping that surrounds an outer circumference of the barrel over a length of the barrel may be applied.

LOW TEMPERATURE CARBON/BN/ALUMINUM OXIDE COATING
A method of forming an activated coating composition is disclosed. The method includes providing (a) boron nitride, (b) carbon, (c) aluminum oxide and (d) a liquid carrier. Each of the boron nitride, carbon and aluminum oxide are in particulate form. The coating composition is activated to form an activated coating composition. The activated coating composition includes active components having from about 60.0 wt% to about 90.0 wt% boron nitride, from about 16 wt% to about 24 wt% carbon and from about 4 wt% to about 6 wt% aluminum oxide. A coating method, coated substrate and activated coating composition are also disclosed.
METHOD OF MAKING A RELIABLE GUN
A gun has parts that slide past one another during operation. A coating is formed on at least a surface of a first part that contacts a second part. At least an upper layer of the coating is porous and comprises a thermoset polymer and a filler. One or both parts may be part of a gas-operated reloading mechanism. The coating prevents jamming by excluding particles, yielding to particles that still manage to intrude, and by providing a reservoir for lubricant. The coating reduces clearances, improves accuracy, and reduces operating temperatures. The coating excludes particles from the lubricant, effectively allowing a large volume of lubricant to be used without the drawback of trapping dirt and other contaminants in the lubricant.
