Methods and apparatus for optical adapter for firearm slide
An apparatus and method for modifying a handgun to accept an optical sight comprises a modified slide mechanism adapted to include a flat recessed rear section configured to receive an adapter plate for mounting an optical sight. Various embodiments include modified internal components used to replace stock components what will no longer fit within the modified profile of the slide mechanism. Replacement of the slide mechanism and associated internal components will allow a user to add an optical sight to an existing handgun.
Pistol Compensator Components, Systems, and Methods
In a preferred embodiment, a pistol compensator system comprises a compensator, an elastomeric spacer, an assortment of variously sized shims, a spring guide rod, and a spring plug. The compensator of this system comprises a body, a barrel cavity, a threaded bore, an oval rod cavity, and a plug cavity. The spring plug of this system comprises a latch extension. The spring guide rod of this system comprises a muzzle end. When this preferred embodiment is installed on a pistol, if the pistol is in battery (slide closed) the latch extension is disposed in the plug cavity, and if the pistol is out of battery (slide back) the muzzle end of the guide rod is disposed in the rod cavity. In this preferred embodiment, the compensator is tensioned to the end of the barrel by the elastomeric spacer and a shim.
PISTOL WITH HORIZONTAL MAGAZINE BENEATH THE BARREL
A striker fired semi-automatic pistol or handgun that utilizes a magazine positioned horizontally and in front of the grip. The pistol of the invention includes two recoil springs and two locking lugs positioned on each side of the barrel (1 per side) which has a corresponding set of locking blocks. A sliding stripper rail is utilized to move cartridges from the magazine to the barrel. The grip is detachable and completely customizable, using a small solid tang to connect the grip to the firearm.

A barrel assembly for use in a semiautomatic firearm, including a barrel and a takedown lever. A rear portion of the barrel includes a follower lug and a rear lug extending from an underside of the rear portion. The follower lug further includes a follower notch. A pin of the takedown lever includes a notch with a vertical face configured to contact a vertical face of the follower notch when the firearm is in the locked position. The rear lug is configured to be supported by a portion of a locking block of the firearm prior to firing and during a portion of the recoil period. The modifications to the barrel assembly result in increased dwell time and accuracy of the firearm.

A barrel assembly for use in a semiautomatic firearm, including a barrel and a takedown lever. A rear portion of the barrel includes a follower lug and a rear lug extending from an underside of the rear portion. The follower lug further includes a follower notch. A pistol having a handle piece, a slide that is movable on the handle piece along guides, and a barrel. Provided in the handle piece is a blocking device for the forward movement of the barrel, where the blocking device has a retaining platelet that is movable in a slot and is under the action of a spring, for a barrel projection. A spring platelet is provided in the slot between the spring and the retaining platelet, where the spring platelet is designed such that it can be partially extracted from the slot transversely with respect to the center plane of the pistol. In this extracted position, the spring platelet is pivotable, together with the retaining platelet, against the force of the spring, with the result that the retaining platelet passes out of the movement path of the barrel projection and the slide can be withdrawn forward.

A gun barrel that has a proximal chamber end, a distal muzzle end, and an internal bore bounded by a bore wall, the internal bore having a first rifled bore section proximate to the proximal chamber end of the barrel, a second rifled bore section at the distal muzzle end of the barrel, and a reducing section distal to the first rifled bore section and connecting the first rifled bore section and the second rifled bore section, wherein at least one of the first rifled bore section and the second rifled bore section have straight groove rifling.

Barreled firearm, in particular pistol, having a recoil damper
A barreled firearm having a mass-locked breechblock and a recoil-damping element which is connected on one side to a frame assembly and on another side to a barrel assembly including a barrel. A housing part of the barrel assembly is mounted in the frame assembly in an axially slidable manner. A support element stationary relative to the barrel is mounted in a breechblock housing or in the frame assembly in an axially slidable manner. Alternatively, a support element stationary relative to the frame assembly is mounted in a breechblock housing in an axially slidable manner. The breechblock housing is guided by the frame assembly in an axially slidable manner and the breechblock housing is supported by the support element by means of a spring element. This design absorbs or reduces recoil when a shot is fired from the barreled firearm.
