A pistol comprising a barrel having a combustion chamber and slide translatable between an advanced configuration closing the combustion chamber, and a retracted configuration opening the chamber and in both configurations is substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis. The slide has a locking seat and longitudinal grooving. A closing organ rotatable with respect to the axis between a first and a second angular position and an element drawing in rotation the closing organ and fixed to the fore-end. The closing organ has a locking relief and a cam taking the rotation from the at least one element drawing in rotation. In the advanced configuration, the closing organ is in the first angular position so the locking relief engages the locking seat and the barrel and slide constrain each other, in the retracted configuration the closing organ is in the second angular position wherein the locking relief disengages from the locking seat and slides along the grooving so the slide can retract with respect to the barrel.

Provided in the handle piece is a blocking device for the forward movement of the barrel, where the blocking device has a retaining platelet that is movable in a slot and is under the action of a spring, for a barrel projection. A spring platelet is provided in the slot between the spring and the retaining platelet, where the spring platelet is designed such that it can be partially extracted from the slot transversely with respect to the center plane of the pistol. In this extracted position, the spring platelet is pivotable, together with the retaining platelet, against the force of the spring, with the result that the retaining platelet passes out of the movement path of the barrel projection and the slide can be withdrawn forward.

The barrel has locking elements at its forward end including a plurality of protruding lugs configured to interface with the slide in the locked position when the slide is in the battery position to prevent axial movement of the slide with respect to the barrel. Moving the trigger forward out of its released position lowers a barrel locking component out of engagement with a slidable trunnion to allow the slide and barrel to disassemble from the frame.
