NOVEL AIR GUN
20230124133 · 2023-04-20 ·

An air gun utilizes high pressure air to rapidly move projectiles from a magazine to the breech of a barrel, and from there out of the barrel. Actuating a trigger opens a valve which directs high pressure air into a turbine/projectile feed disk assembly causing rotation of the assembly about an axle. The rotation rapidly moves projectiles from the magazine to a position at the barrel breech (one at a time) where the high pressure air launches the positioned projectile through the barrel and out the barrel muzzle. The weapon is innovative in the use of high pressure air in an efficient combination of linear and rotational movement to load and rapidly discharge projectiles through a single barrel.

Mechanical paintball gun

A mechanical paintball gun has a first operation chamber and a second operation chamber for receiving a firing piston and a hammer, respectively. The firing piston and the hammer move simultaneously between a first position status and a second position status. The second operation chamber is connected with a high-pressure gas source and has a normally closed valve pack. When the hammer moves to the second position status, the valve pack becomes open and allows high-pressure gas to pass therethrough to enter the first operation chamber for shooting paintballs. The second operation chamber contains therein a slidable member and a resistance device. The slidable member is linked with the hammer, and the slidable member pushes the resistance device. With the resistance device slowing down the slidable member to delay a cycle time of a shooting process, paintballs can be fed in time to enable continuous and stable shooting.

EFFICIENT HIGH-VELOCITY COMPRESSED GAS-POWERED GUN

A lower receiver has a trigger assembly. An upper receiver is coupled to the lower receiver. The lower receiver has a bolt assembly and an L-shaped slot. The L-shaped slot has a long leg, a junction, and a short leg. The bolt assembly interacts with the L-shaped slot. The upper receiver has a rear end to which a compressed gas power source can be coupled. The upper receiver has a gas path from the compressed gas power source for firing a projectile through a barrel and for cocking the bolt assembly. The gas path is entirely contained by the upper receiver.

Pneumatic launching assembly

A pneumatic projectile launcher with improved valve opening and closing characteristics includes a trigger mechanism in communication with a valve assembly, preferably through pneumatic or mechanical means. This valve assembly consists of at least two members; the first is used to seal a single projectile in a barrel tube so as to accelerate the projectile with a gas pulse (“bolt”). The second member of the assembly is a valve member which controls the release of said gas pulse. The aforementioned pulse that propels the projectile out of the barrel (“forward”) also acts on a face of the valve member opposite the projectile, translating the valve member rearward to the original, closed position.

Compressed gas gun having removable firing mechanism

A paintball marker has an inline cylinder that includes a gas governor that reduces gas flow from a compressed gas source to a valve area when the bolt is in a firing position; this increases efficiency in the marker because only the required air is used to fire the paintball. This bolt operates independent of the valve pin, which increases cycle speed and enables the governor to open and close at an optimum time in the firing cycle. Further, when the bolt/piston is recocking, the gap between the valve pin and governor valve pin enables low pressure gas driving the piston to start pressurizing the cylinder and driving the piston rearwards without resistance from the high pressure gas. The marker also allows a user to remove the inline cylinder without tools, and provides a convenient carrying handle for holding the paintball marker, which is commonly called a “snatch grip.”
