A blaster for shooting projectiles that includes a housing that defines a housing interior, and a variable velocity barrel assembly positioned in the housing interior. The variable velocity barrel assembly includes a barrel that defines a barrel axis and a barrel interior. The barrel includes an exit opening at a distal end thereof. At least a first opening communicates the barrel interior with an exterior of the barrel. The first opening is defined through a side wall of the barrel. A slider member that includes a cylindrical portion that surrounds the barrel is movable axially along the barrel between a maximum velocity position where the cylindrical portion covers the first opening and a minimum velocity position where the slider member does not cover the first opening.

An air gun utilizes high pressure air to rapidly move projectiles from a magazine to the breech of a barrel, and from there out of the barrel. Actuating a trigger opens a valve which directs high pressure air into a turbine/projectile feed disk assembly causing rotation of the assembly about an axle. The rotation rapidly moves projectiles from the magazine to a position at the barrel breech (one at a time) where the high pressure air launches the positioned projectile through the barrel and out the barrel muzzle. The weapon is innovative in the use of high pressure air in an efficient combination of linear and rotational movement to load and rapidly discharge projectiles through a single barrel.

A puncture mechanism that is configured to puncture a seal provided over a mouth of a canister of compressed gas received within a less-lethal device to propel a projectile from the less-lethal device when a trigger mechanism of the less-lethal device is actuated by a user. The puncture mechanism includes a displaceable body that has a piercing mechanism which is configured to pierce the seal provided over a mouth of the canister. The puncture mechanism further includes an actuation arrangement, which comprises a trigger mechanism, for displacing the displaceable body towards the canister whereby the piercing mechanism pierces a seal of the canister and compressed gas flows into a barrel of the less-lethal device to propel the projectile from the less-lethal device.

A puncture mechanism that is configured to puncture a seal provided over a mouth of a canister of compressed gas received within a less-lethal device to propel a projectile from the less-lethal device when a trigger mechanism of the less-lethal device is actuated by a user. The puncture mechanism includes a displaceable body that has a piercing mechanism which is configured to pierce the seal provided over a mouth of the canister. The puncture mechanism further includes an actuation arrangement, which comprises a trigger mechanism, for displacing the displaceable body towards the canister whereby the piercing mechanism pierces a seal of the canister and compressed gas flows into a barrel of the less-lethal device to propel the projectile from the less-lethal device.

The moving distance of a cartridge which is actuated each time a trigger is pulled once can be increased. A toy gun includes: a trigger; a cartridge in which cartridge bullet loading portions loaded with bullets are continuously provided and which is installed ahead of the trigger; a link mechanism (including a trigger rear end portion, a link A, a link B, a rod, and an arm) which is once extended from behind the trigger to the side opposite the cartridge installation position and thereafter inverted and whose tip is extended to ahead of the trigger; and a nail which is actuated through the link mechanism in conjunction with the actuation of the trigger and moves the cartridge.

A toy projectile launcher pistol having a handle with an internal projectile storage area; at least one pair of inwardly biased resilient flaps; an air piston assembly having a barrel and a plunger element; a sliding handle coupled to the barrel, the sliding handle and barrel being movable between a forward position and a backward position; an extension spring that biases the plunger element to-wards a front portion of the toy projectile launcher pistol; and a latching assembly that couples the plunger element to a trigger assembly when the sliding handle is moved to the backward position, and the trigger assembly, upon toggling, releases the coupling of the latching assembly between the plunger element and the trigger assembly.

A hydraulic buffer assembly for use in a paint gun includes a sealed housing having first and second ends and an interior including a chamber containing a hydraulic fluid. A piston assembly including at least one piston rod and a piston head is axially movable through the interior of the housing, wherein the piston head includes at least one orifice through which hydraulic fluid flows when the piston assembly is moved under load. The buffer assembly is configured to decrease or slow the firing rate of an automatic paint gun.

A hand carryable, non-lethal personal protection device using compressed gas for operation. In some embodiments the device uses the compressed gas to create and shoot a vortex of air at the target. In other embodiments, the compressed gas can be used to shoot a burst of atomized water at the attacker. In still other embodiments the device uses the compressed gas to shoot ammunition, such as a ring airfoil, O-ring, bean bag, or other non-lethal blunt trauma munitions at the target. In still further embodiments, the device is modular in its construction, and can be used to apply the compressed gas to various different attachments.
