A sling clip is disclosed that has a clamping mechanism capable of releasably securing the strap when the strap is slidably received through an opening in the sling clip. The sling clip also has an attachment mechanism configured to secure the sling clip proximate to a weapon bearer's body. The clamping mechanism is operatively configured to secure the strap within the sling clip when the weapon is in a firing position such that the strap minimizes movement of a muzzle end of the weapon caused by recoil of the weapon upon firing. A sling including the sling clip also is disclosed. The sling also includes a flexible strap having a first end and a second end is disclosed. The first end of the strap is configured to be secured to a weapon near a near a butt end of the weapon. The weapon may be a rifle, shotgun, or handgun.

A quick disconnect device for detachably holding a long gun or other elongated emergency tool (EET). The quick disconnect device receives and captures the ball of a ball-and-stem structure that is attached to the EET. The quick disconnect device may allow the EET to rotate about the central axis of the stem, but otherwise prevents relative translational and rotational motion between the EET and the quick disconnect device. The quick disconnect device is especially suitable for mounting to clothing, such as a utility belt or a ballistic vest. the quick disconnect device allows the EET to be inserted without requiring the user to directly manipulate the quick connection device, but requires the user to manipulate some sort of mechanism on the quick connect device in order to release the EET.

A firearm carrier that is design and configured to hold a firearm. In one embodiment, the firearm is a pump-action (or slide-action) firearm, such as a scattergun. The firearm can have a rear portion with a pistol grip, and a forward portion with a barrel and a pump-action (or slide-action) receiver. The firearm carrier can be secured to a user's waist and leg, and then the firearm can be removably secured to the firearm carrier. Advantageously, the firearm carrier is configured to receive a portion of the barrel of the firearm and can thus be secured to the firearm carrier. The firearm can also be rapidly removed from the firearm carrier should the user desire to remove the firearm from the firearm carrier.

A holster is disclosed specially adapted for a long weapon, the long weapon having a pistol grip and a magwell. The holster comprises two separate brackets, an upper bracket and a lower bracket, where both the upper and lower holster brackets are adapted to be supported by a tactical vest with moly webbing. The upper holster bracket is U-shaped and snaps over the pistol grip of the long weapon. A detent is located on the inner surfaces of the U-shaped bracket which engages a channel located on the faces of the pistol grip. In another embodiment a post is attached to the holster that is adapted to engage a corresponding hole through the pistol grip of a weapon. The post has a spherical knob on the end opposite the holster wherein the knob snaps into a corresponding enlarged spherical section of the hole located through the pistol grip. A snap element including a spring biased button is embedded into the pistol grip wherein the snap element releasable engages the hemispherical bulb of the post.

An apparatus for carrying a rifle is disclosed. In one embodiment, such an apparatus includes a coupling mechanism to connect to a rifle. In certain embodiments, the coupling mechanism comprises a hook for engaging a loop, wherein one of the hook and the loop is connected to a rifle. An attachment mechanism, such as a clip or strap, is coupled to the coupling mechanism and configured to attach the coupling mechanism to a backpack or other shoulder harness. In certain embodiments, a retention mechanism may be provided to keep the rifle retained within the coupling mechanism. Similarly, a release mechanism may be provided to release the rifle from the retention mechanism. The release mechanism may engage/disengage the retention mechanism using a cable, or in other embodiments using wired or wireless communication. A corresponding method is also disclosed herein.

A firearm carrier that is design and configured to hold a firearm. In one embodiment, the firearm is a pump-action (or slide-action) firearm, such as a scattergun. The firearm can have a rear portion with a pistol grip, and a forward portion with a barrel and a pump-action (or slide-action) receiver. The firearm carrier can be secured to a user's waist and leg, and then the firearm can be removably secured to the firearm carrier. Advantageously, the firearm carrier is configured to receive a portion of the barrel of the firearm and can thus be secured to the firearm carrier. The firearm can also be rapidly removed from the firearm carrier should the user desire to remove the firearm from the firearm carrier.

A support hook assembly is configured to support a rifle worn by a human. The support hook assembly has a clip having a front plate connected to a pair of clip legs. A hook attachment block is joined to the front plate and further has a first pin slot and a second pin slot. An upper hinge knuckle recess, a first lower knuckle recess and a second lower knuckle recess are joined to the front plate adjacent to the hook attachment bloc. A hook has an upper knuckle and a lower knuckle. A pin is inserted through the upper knuckle, the first pin slot, and the lower knuckle. The hook is adapted to support the rifle worn by the human.

A wearable gun rest assembly for supporting a firearm while a user is walking includes a panel that is hollow and the panel has a slot that extends into an interior of the panel. A neck strap is releasably attachable to the panel and the neck strap is wearable around the user's neck thereby facilitating the panel to be supported on the user's chest. A waist strap is releasably attachable to the panel and the waist strap is wearable around the user's waist thereby facilitating the panel to be retained against the user's chest. A gun support is removably integratable into the panel and the gun support has a gun slot is integrated therein to insertably receive a firearm for supporting the firearm in a horizontal orientation.

A system for supporting a firearm in a generally vertical position includes a stock support member to support the stock of the firearm, a first fastening element operatively connectable to a user, and a second fastening element mountable with respect to the firearm. The system is configured such that the first and second fastening elements remain engaged when the firearm is in the generally vertical position so that the firearm is supported only by the fastening elements and the stock support member, but automatically disengage when the firearm is moved to a generally horizontal position for firing.
