Firearm harness system and method
A system for supporting a firearm in a generally vertical position includes a stock support member to support the stock of the firearm, a first fastening element operatively connectable to a user, and a second fastening element mountable with respect to the firearm. The system is configured such that the first and second fastening elements remain engaged when the firearm is in the generally vertical position so that the firearm is supported only by the fastening elements and the stock support member, but automatically disengage when the firearm is moved to a generally horizontal position for firing.
Hands-free long-gun carrier
Provided is a hands-free long-gun carrying device having a support plate supported at a user's chest and a gripping structure on the support plate configured to releasably engage and support a long-gun in a ready position. The gripping structure includes first and second jaw members substantially open toward a front direction. At least one of the jaw members is resiliently deflectable to receive and grip a porting of a long-gun inserted between the jaw members.
Support structure for a weapons system
A support structure for a weapons system has a frame adapted for connection to a wearer, the frame having an elongated first portion defining a frame axis and adapted for positioning adjacent to the spine of the wearer, the frame having an upper end, a boom connected to the upper end of the frame and having a first boom portion extending away from the frame, and a second boom portion angled with respect to the first boom portion and extending away from the frame axis, the boom having a free end, a cable reel mechanism connected to the frame, a cable having a first end connected to the cable reel mechanism and a free end extending from the free end of the boom and adapted to connect to the weapons system, and the cable reel mechanism including a biasing facility to exert tension on the cable to provide support for the weapons system.
Hands-free support device, a subassembly of a hands-free support device and methods for operating the same
An assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes a base portion and a selectively rotatable portion attached to the base portion. The base portion includes a first subassembly attached to a second subassembly. The first subassembly includes a housing that at least partially contains an actuator. The second subassembly includes a housing receiver that retains the housing. The selectively rotatable portion includes an indexing member attached to an implement carrier portion. The actuator of the base portion is selectively interfaced with the indexing member of the selectively rotatable portion in order to permit the selectively rotatable portion to be arranged relative the base portion in one of two orientations being a rotatably-locked orientation and a freely rotatable orientation.
WEARABLE WEAPON SUPPORT ASSEMBLY
A wearable weapon support assembly includes a quick detach fastener assembled on a clothing interface member that has a mounting provision mountable to clothing.
HOLSTER FOR ASSAULT RIFLE
A holster is disclosed specially adapted for a long weapon, the long weapon having a pistol grip and a magwell. The holster comprises two separate brackets, an upper bracket and a lower bracket, where both the upper and lower holster brackets are adapted to be supported by a tactical vest with moly webbing. The upper holster bracket is U-shaped and snaps over the pistol grip of the long weapon. A detent is located on the inner surfaces of the U-shaped bracket which engages a channel located on the faces of the pistol grip.
BUFFER TUBE MOUNT
A firearm support system (FSS) includes a buffer tube mount (BTM) having a first complementary component and a receiver comprising a second complementary component configured to selectively receive the first complementary component. The BTM comprises a shelf that extends from a ring of the BTM.
