SECURABLE CONTAINER
A container for a firearm or other valuable, which may be worn on a belt, comprising and enclosure having an interior volume and containing an opening in a surface thereof, a retractable cover for covering the opening when the retractable cover is in a non-retracted position, a firearm retaining mechanism disposed within the interior volume; a firearm extending mechanism disposed within the interior volume; and a releasable latch for maintaining the firearm extending mechanism in a retracted position. A user may manually retract the cover causing a firearm contained within the interior volume to be extended for easy access. Geolocation, status and other information may be communicated to a remote user through a wireless data link. A camera may be activated by retracting the cover were upon video data may be transmitted to a remote monitor. The container may be remotely locked or unlocked. The container may be a holster.
ARTICLE OF CLOTHING WITH VIDEO RECORDING DEVICE SUPPORT
A video recording device, holster and article of clothing are disclosed to reliably and covertly provide for the capture of video, audio, and metadata, and perform other commands. The holster may be provided with a carrier that is, in turn, inserted into the holster. In one embodiment, the holster may be confirmed as being associated with the video recording device to authenticate a user, and establishes a docked position. Moreover, the video recording device may enter a mode of operation associated with using the video recording apparatus automatically when inserted into a holster.
DETECTION OF DEVICE DISLOCATION USING POWER AND NON-POWERED DISLOCATION SENSORS
An indication from a body-worn device may be received at a user device, in which the indication notifies the user device that the body-worn device has detached from a mounting position. The user device may be a body-worn hub or another body-worn device. A command is then generated at the user device to trigger the body-worn device or another body-worn device to perform an action based at least on the indication. In some instances, the user device may send an event notification for the indication to an event handler on a hub or a server for the event handler to determine whether to perform an action based at least on the event notification.

The holster may be provided with a carrier that is, in turn, inserted into the holster. Moreover, the video recording device may enter a mode of operation associated with using the video recording apparatus automatically when inserted into a holster.
AUTOMATED CAMERA ACTIVATION
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for automated camera activation are disclosed. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of receiving, from a sensor, sensor data. The actions further include, based on the sensor data, determining that a firearm has been removed from a holster. The actions further include, based on determining that the firearm has been removed from the holster, generating a software-recognized event that indicates the firearm has been removed from the holster. The actions further include, in response to the software-recognized event that indicates the firearm has been removed from the holster, generating an instruction for a camera to record. The actions further include providing, for output, the instruction for the camera to record.
TACTICAL TORSO TOOL CARRIER AND NETWORKED CONTROL AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A tactical torso tool carrier and networked control and communication system is disclosed, wherein a tactical torso tool carrier device includes a main unit configured to be worn on the torso of a person, the main unit including a housing having a docking station configured to securely attach a removable tool module, wherein the tactical torso tool carrier device facilitates communications between personnel and systems operably associated with the tactical toro tool carrier and networked control and communication system.
Firearm telematics devices for monitoring status and location
A portable camera may be activated in response to the activity of a firearm. Furthermore, an individual who discharged a firearm may be identified. Furthermore, information related to the firing of a firearm may be recorded, assessed, identified and transmitted. Furthermore, the status of an implement at a mount may be monitored. Furthermore, a charging device for delivering electrical power to components of a firearm may be used. A communications channel may be established between a firearm telematics sensor and a video camera, optionally by means of intermediary devices. A communications channel may be established between a mount (e.g., holster) telematics device and local and/or remote monitoring service components, optionally by means of intermediary devices. When the telematics sensor detects that its associated firearm has been removed from a holster, is in motion, or is being discharged, the telematics sensor may signal the video camera to initiate recording.
MANAGING OPERATION OF A WEAPON
A weapon assembly includes a weapon; a weapon holster configured to receive and support at least a portion of the weapon; and a controller that includes a biometric sensor and a weapon activation sensor. The controller perform operations including transmitting a signal generated by the weapon activation sensor that is indicative of at least one of a release of the portion of the weapon from the weapon holster or a discharge of the weapon; and transmitting a signal generated by the biometric sensor indicative of a biometric state of a user of the weapon subsequent to the release of the portion of the weapon from the weapon holster or the discharge of the weapon. The signal generated by the biometric sensor is processable by a control system to generate a biometric feedback to determine a predictive diagnosis for the user.
Weapon detector with user interface
A detector for detecting the removal and/or insertion of a firearm out of and/or into a holster. The detector may transmit a message each time the firearm is removed from the holster. A recording system may receive the message and determine whether or not it will begin recording the data it captures. A detector may detect the change in a magnitude of an inductance and/or an impedance of a circuit to detect insertion and removal of the firearm into and out of the holster. The holster is configured to couple to the detector to position the detector to detect insertion and removal of the firearm. An adhesive tape may couple a detector to a holster.
SAFETY SYSTEMS FOR OBJECTS AND METHODS
A safety system for an object having a transmitter that comprises a microcontroller to generate an identification signal having a given frequency and a resonant circuit to amplify the signal. The transmitter is suitable to be placed in the vicinity of the body of a person to capacitively couple the identification signal to it. The safety system also comprises a receiver suitable to be capacitively coupled to the body in order to receive the first identification signal and to recognize based on the identification signal if a user is an authorized user. The safety system estimates the actual resonant frequency of the resonant circuit when the circuit is amplifying the signal and the microcontroller is adapted to choose as frequency for the identification signal the closest frequency to the estimated actual resonant circuit it can generate so that the amplification of the identification signal is maximized.
