A holster system for receiving and releasably retaining a handgun with or without a reflex sight mounted thereon. The holster body comprises a pair of opposing side wall portions and an upper wall portion. The holster body may define a rear accessory sight opening for receiving the handgun with the reflex sight attached thereto. The holster system may include a first rear sight cover selectively and robustly coupleable to the holster body so as to cover the rear accessory sight opening when a handgun with conventional sights extending upwardly about ⅜ of an inch or less mounted thereto is used in conjunction with the holster system. The holster system may also include a second rear sight cover selectively coupleable to the holster body so as to cover the sight opening when a handgun with a reflex sight mounted thereto is used in conjunction with the holster system.

Certain aspects of a novel weapon sight system combine a direct view, a visible light video view, and an infrared (IR) video view mode. Each of the view modes may be viewed individually or simultaneously with one or more of the other view modes through a single viewing aperture. Further, the one or more view-modes may be provided while providing a bore-sighted reticle superimposed on the selected view. Further, the reticle may be powered separately from the video view electronics enabling use of the reticle regardless of the power status video view electronics.

An optical element supported by said housing between said first support and said second support. A reticle is displayed on the optical element.

An optical sight, system, and method for a firearm. The optical sight includes a housing including a base. A first support and a second support extend from the base. A top support extends between the first support and the second support. The top support extends over an optical element and includes a surface adjacent to the optical element. A second cross member defining one or more openings between the first cross member and the first and second supports. An optical element supported by said housing between said first support and said second support. A reticle is displayed on the optical element.

A sight includes a main body, an erecting unit and a compensating mechanism. The compensating mechanism includes a fixing unit, a cover and an switching unit. A compensating mechanism for a sight includes a base unit, a transmission unit, an adjusting cap, a movable unit and a lock unit. The adjusting cap is located in a first position when the adjusting cap is locked by the lock unit. The adjusting cap in the first position can be rotated in a second direction or in a third direction opposite to the second direction when the lock unit is moved in a first direction to release the adjusting cap. The adjusting cap stops in a second position when the adjusting cap is rotated in the third direction so that the movable unit is propped against an end of a groove of the adjusting cap.

A sight includes a main body, an erecting unit and a compensating mechanism. The compensating mechanism includes a fixing unit, a cover and an switching unit. A compensating mechanism for a sight includes a base unit, a transmission unit, an adjusting cap, a movable unit and a lock unit. The adjusting cap is located in a first position when the adjusting cap is locked by the lock unit. The adjusting cap in the first position can be rotated in a second direction or in a third direction opposite to the second direction when the lock unit is moved in a first direction to release the adjusting cap. The adjusting cap stops in a second position when the adjusting cap is rotated in the third direction so that the movable unit is propped against an end of a groove of the adjusting cap.

Methods and systems are disclosed for a weapon sight with a tapered housing. The housing may be configured to enclose an optical bench and/or a portion of an adjuster assembly within the weapon sight. The housing may include an outer shell, a first window, and a second window. The first window may define a first area. The second window may define a second area. The second area may be greater than the first area, for example, such that the outer shell is tapered outward from the first opening to the second opening. The outer shell may define a first wall and a second wall that extend between the first opening and the second opening on opposed sides of an optical path of the weapon sight. The first wall and the second wall may be slanted outward from the first window to the second window.

Methods and systems are disclosed for a weapon sight with a tapered housing. The housing may be configured to enclose an optical bench and/or a portion of an adjuster assembly within the weapon sight. The housing may include an outer shell, a first window, and a second window. The first window may define a first area. The second window may define a second area. The second area may be greater than the first area, for example, such that the outer shell is tapered outward from the first opening to the second opening. The outer shell may define a first wall and a second wall that extend between the first opening and the second opening on opposed sides of an optical path of the weapon sight. The first wall and the second wall may be slanted outward from the first window to the second window.
