Systems and methods for sighting firearms

A boresighting system may include a laser boresight device and a parallax mitigation device. The laser boresight device may include a casing for loading into a chamber of a firearm in place of a bolt carrier group, where the casing accepts a laser device for generating a laser beam within an interior cavity of the casing. The parallax mitigation device may include a housing for securing to an optical sight and a central position indicator providing a visual indication of a central position of the optical sight. Boresighting may be provided by adjusting an eye position to view a laser spot on a target associated with the laser beam at the central position of the optical sight based on the central position indicator and adjusting the optical sight to overlap an alignment reference provided by the optical sight with the laser spot at the central position of the optical sight.

Variable range compensating device
11543211 · 2023-01-03 ·

A variable range compensating device, including at least some of a housing having an optical cavity defined at least partially within the housing, wherein the optical cavity extends from an incoming image aperture to an outgoing image aperture; and two or more reflective optical elements, wherein each reflective optical element is adjustably positioned within at least a portion of the optical cavity, and wherein adjustment of at least one of the reflective optical elements adjusts the reflective optical elements such that a target image entering the incoming image aperture is reflected by the reflective optical elements, so as to exit the outgoing image aperture at a determined offset.

Archery scope and accessories

An optical sighting assembly including an improved scope body and detachable accessories is presented. The accessories can be magnetically attachable to the scope body and can include a lens cartridge, a light pack, power pack and/or an alignment ring. The lens cartridge can be keyed to be installed at a predetermined rotational orientation, and the lens cartridge can hold a small diameter lens. Lenses can include a fluorescent aiming point that can fluoresce due to ambient light and/or when illuminated by an LED. The light pack can include the LED, a power source, and a control interface for adjusting light output. Alternatively, the LED can be integrated into the scope body, and a battery pack can include a power source and a control interface for the LED.

Sighting system

A sighting system includes a sight body, a compensating mechanism, a converting unit, a processing unit and an output unit. The sight body is configured to aim an object. The compensating mechanism is disposed on the sight body and includes a base, an adjusting unit and an adjusting cap, wherein the adjusting cap is configured to rotate the adjusting unit with respect to the base. The converting unit is disposed in the compensating mechanism and is configured to obtain rotation information of the adjusting cap, convert the rotation information into an electrical signal and output the electrical signal. The processing unit is configured to receive the electrical signal for obtaining an instant adjusting value of the adjusting cap and to compare the instant adjusting value with a predetermined adjusting value. The output unit is electrically connected to the processing unit for presenting information for correction of bullet impact points.

REFLEX SIGHTING OPTICS WITH USER CHANGEABLE LENS

An aiming device is provided including an illumination device and an optical element wherein the illumination device projects a primary dot and at least one secondary alignment dot distal from the primary dot to aid a user in obtaining a view of the primary dot when the aiming device is in an aligned mode, the primary dot is visible within a field of view of the user, but the secondary alignment dot is not visible. When the aiming device is in a misaligned mode, the secondary alignment dot is visible to the user, but the primary dot is not. The secondary alignment dot provides instruction to the user to realign the aiming device relative to the field of view of the user so that the aiming device transitions to the aligned mode. A related method of operation is provided.

UNIVERSAL WEAPON ZEROING TARGET
20170350678 · 2017-12-07 ·

Before a person can use any weapon, such as a gun or a rifle, effectively, the sight must be aligned to the barrel through a zeroing process. An improved zero target is developed which is inexpensive and applicable to many different weapon sight scenarios. By making a universal zero target, users need only a single target eliminating the need for procuring and storing various targets. Additionally, the multi-sight target eliminates the need for field expedient zeroing solutions. The product saves both time and money and improves the results for weapon users.
