A school children rescue vehicle is provided. The vehicle includes an electric mobility scooter assembly. The vehicle includes a protective shell configured to attach to the assembly. The protective shell includes a plurality of hardened flat panels configured to connect between themselves and form an overall 5-sided shaped enclosure and arranged to fit on top of and connect to the electric mobility scooter assembly and structured to provide projectile protection for personnel situated within the protective shell. The shell includes a plurality of viewing ports of bullet proof glass positionable within the hardened flat panels and configured to provide line of sight viewing for personnel inside the protective shell. The overall external dimensions of the protective shell are such that the vehicle can maneuver within tight enclosed spaces. The vehicle functions as a deterrent to school violence and as a rescue vehicle for an active shooter situation.

Mobile shield for protection from projectiles and radiation

A mobile radiation and ballistic shield can include a central shield with an outer layer of steel and a second layer of lead, and a chassis having front wheels and rear wheels. One or more auxiliary shields can be hinged outward from the central shield into a deployed position to increase ballistic coverage, and can be hinged inward to decrease the width of the mobile radiation and ballistic shield to pass through doorways and elevators.

PORTABLE BALLISTIC SHIELD AND STRETCHER DEVICE

A compact, inflatable and portable ballistic shield and stretcher device is disclosed herein. The combination device comprises one or more inflatable panels, a protective cover, one or more straps for handling the combination device, a protective layer, a housing, and an optional wheel assembly for easily transporting the device, and that may also serve as a pump for purposes of inflating the inflatable panels if a source of compressed gas is not readily available. The panels of the portable ballistic shield and stretcher device can be selectively inflated on demand and as needed, and the portable ballistic shield and stretcher device can also be removably attached to other portable ballistic shield and stretcher devices to form a barrier to protect a user from arms fire and other unwanted projectiles.

Lightweight Table Providing a Protective Shield
20220167739 · 2022-06-02 ·

A projectile-resistant table provides a reduced weight by employing separate structures for table stiffness and projectile resistance, for example, using a sandwich structure composite with high stiffness and tow projectile resistance for table integrity and a flexible fiber mat with low stiffness but high projectile resistance for shielding.

Flip-top table for protection from projectiles

A flip-top table has a tabletop attached to a frame through a pivoting assembly. The tabletop is made from a ballistic-resistant material allowing it to be used as a ballistic shield when it rotates from its horizontal working position to a vertical shielding position. A front modesty panel is also ballistic-resistant and is mounted between the front legs of the frame. A lift speed restrictor is connected between the tabletop and the frame which prevents the user from lifting the tabletop too quickly which could topple the table, and it includes a biasing mechanism that provides a lifting force and helps to hold the tabletop in the shielding position. The table also includes visual indicators that readily indicate to persons around the table that the table can be converted into a ballistic shield. Casters allow one or more tables to be quickly moved and repositioned into a defensive arrangement.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ISOLATING OPEN AREAS AND ENCLOSED SPACES AGAINST TRIGGERING EVENTS, ACTIVE SHOOTERS, GUNSHOTS, EXPLOSIVES AND OTHER ACTIVE THREATS

A system and method are provided for facilitating automated and manual segregation of internal areas within a structure, particularly in response to active shooter warnings, or other triggering events. Embodiments may provide automated systems and methods, products and product components to facilitate simplified and automated (1) deployment of mechanized safety and/or security (bulletproof) curtains, including certain safety curtains comprising, or otherwise formed of, replaceable bulletproof and/or other penetration-resistant materials, and/or (2) actuation of mechanized safety and/or security (bulletproof) doors, to effectively segregate open areas and hallways in buildings. Exemplary embodiments may: (a) limit lines of sight of a perpetrator; (b) interdict bullet flight paths; (c) restrict or eliminate a perpetrator's freedom movement; (d) confine areas of detected explosive ordnance detonations or dispersal of contaminants; (e) provide a means of trapping/isolating a perpetrator; and/or (f) provide local safe havens in active shooter, gunfire, explosive detonation, contaminant dispersal, and like threat scenarios/situations.

Ballistic dolly system

Implementations described and claimed herein provide a ballistic dolly system. In one implementation, a frame assembly of a ballistic dolly has an elongated member. A seat assembly is mounted to the elongated member. The seat assembly has one or more surfaces adapted to engage an inner surface of a body of an overlap panel. One or more seat channels are formed in the seat assembly. Each of the one or more seat channels is adapted to releasably engage an edge of a body of an armor panel. Each of the one or more seat channels orients the edge of the body of the armor panel in an overlapping relationship with the body of the overlap panel such that a portion of the body of the armor panel overlaps with a portion of the body of the overlap panel. The overlapping relationship covers a ballistic void of the ballistic dolly.
