An improved target label for shooting that includes at least one toner layer defining an image of a target, superimposed over a colored substrate having a color different from the toner layer, and an ink layer underlying the toner layer. When a projectile strikes and penetrates the target, the ink and toner layer displaces and scatters over an area surrounding the point of penetration, exposing the underlying colored substrate layer. The scattering of toner particles visually resembles gun powder and visually simulates damage over an area wider than the point of penetration by the projectile.

A reactive target system, method and kit. The reactive target system includes a substrate, a volumetrically variable retainer to be attached to the substrate, and a housing to receive the retainer and be attached to the substrate. The retainer may be a balloon inflatable from an unfilled or partially filled, undeployed state to a filled, deployed state. In the deployed state, the retainer exerts a retention force on the housing sufficient to hold a weight of the substrate and the retainer within the housing. Disclosed is an indicating means that may be worn by a player or attached to a target when playing with non lethal projectiles to indicate when a player or a target has been struck by a projectile. The disclosed indicating means comprises a fabric containing sequins followed by a layer of padding beneath the fabric. Sequins are brushed into a first position at the start of game play. During game play, impact of a projectile onto the indicating means will be absorbed by the padding creating undulations radiating outwards from the point of impact causing the sequins to flip to a second position indicating that the player or target has been struck. The disclosed indicating means will work with any projectile, does not require an electrical charge to operate, is low cost, reusable, and durable.

The embodiments herein provide for accuracy-based distinctively acting visual feedback targets through independently active target portions. In particular, the target systems herein have a center target portion and one or more concentric or nested outer portions, where each of the center and outer portions is configured to be rotationally indicative of being hit by a projectile, and is specifically configured to not move any portion further inward of the hit portion. In one embodiment, concentric target portions (e.g., rings) spin around an axis independently when hit, thus indicating a center hit or the distance from center of the hit (i.e., no portion further inward or outward spins other than the hit portion). In another embodiment, nested paddle targets are configured such that knocking down a particular paddle correspondingly knocks down all other paddles that may be further outward (i.e., leaving any portion further inward of the hit portion unmoved/standing).

A target practice arrangement includes a separable body with first and second body members and an inflatable bladder. The first body member defines an inside cavity having a volume and an axis with a wall defining the cavity about the axis, and the second body member has an elongate member, wherein the elongate member is placed within the cavity of the first member, generally parallel with the axis. The bladder, when operably inflated within the cavity, grippingly acts against the inside wall and against the elongate member to prevent relative movement of the first and second body members. The target is operable to separate upon deflation of the inflatable member.

A target label assembly and method of application. The target label assembly includes a reactive target label shape that has a printed target pattern that matches, for use as an overlay, an original target pattern of a base paper target. The label shape includes an alignment window over a portion of the printed target pattern, such as a plurality of target circles, of the label that allows for see-through alignment with the original target pattern to be overlaid. Thus a paper target can be made into a reactive target.

An American football style dart board and game. The dart board includes an annular frame and a dart surface disposed within the frame. The dart surface includes a plurality of dividers. An inner concentric divider defines a center target. A plurality of radial dividers define target segments. A plurality of outer concentric dividers define target sub-segments within each of the target segments. Indicia is disposed within each of the target sub-segments and the center target. The indicia include a type of American football play that is one of a negative play and a positive play.
