TARGET LABEL ASSEMBLY
An improved target label for shooting that includes at least one toner layer defining an image of a target, superimposed over a colored substrate having a color different from the toner layer, and an ink layer underlying the toner layer. When a projectile strikes and penetrates the target, the ink and toner layer displaces and scatters over an area surrounding the point of penetration, exposing the underlying colored substrate layer. The scattering of toner particles visually resembles gun powder and visually simulates damage over an area wider than the point of penetration by the projectile.
Reusable shooting target
A reusable shooting target or target system may include multiple rotary targets each having a target plate section having a bottom end, a top end, a front end, and a back end, and a pivot section. The target may include crossbars having a first end, a body portion, and a second end, front legs and back legs. The pivot section of each rotary target is fixedly or removably attached to the body section of one of the crossbars such that the target plate section of the rotary target is positioned below the crossbar to which the pivot section is attached. The pivot section of each rotary target and the crossbar to which the pivot section is attached are together adapted such that when hit with a bullet the rotary target spins around an axis aligned with the respective crossbar to which the rotary target is attached.
Game apparatus with deforming playing discs
A strategic pattern building game apparatus having a target grid and a rotatable loading tray movable between an elevated position above and aligned with the target grid during play and a folded position adjoining the target grid for transport and/or storage. The game apparatus includes a plurality of playing discs which are placed in channels in the target grid and in the loading tray, and projectile launchers used by players to knock out playing discs until one player achieves four of his/her discs in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line. The discs are deformable and received at the target grid for being ejected during game play when impacted by the projectile.
REACTIVE TARGET SYSTEM, METHOD AND KIT
A reactive target system, method and kit. The reactive target system includes a substrate, a volumetrically variable retainer to be attached to the substrate, and a housing to receive the retainer and be attached to the substrate. The retainer may be a balloon inflatable from an unfilled or partially filled, undeployed state to a filled, deployed state. In the deployed state, the retainer exerts a retention force on the housing sufficient to hold a weight of the substrate and the retainer within the housing. Related systems, kits, methods, apparatuses, techniques and articles are also described.
FIREARM TARGET WITH LOCK ON PATTERN
A firearm target is specially adapted to provide a superior “locked in” sight picture when viewed through firearm sights. Variations having different sized and spaced elements are provided to match different sighting systems and ranges. The elements can include a main wedge, a chisel pattern, foreground and background grids, and foreground and background borderlines. The chisel vertical spacing can be selected to match crosshair thickness and the targeting distance. Aligning the crosshairs to the gap can significantly or completely hide the gap. Misaligning the crosshairs to the gap causes the gap to become more visible because of the gap's highly noticeable and contrasting colors. The target thereby provides a lock-on functionality for a marksman.
Dismemberable target assembly
A dismemberable target for projectile sports includes a central component comprising magnets and detachable components also comprising magnets such that linear or branching arrays of detachable components may be assembled onto the central component. Detachable components may be magnetically detachable while being attached by lengths of cord so that when detached by projectile impact they remain in close proximity for ease of reassembly, and also so that a struck and detached component may drop and swing from the component to which it is tied. In particular embodiment, a dismemberable target is fashioned to look like a zombie or monster which may be sequentially dismembered by projectile shots. In other embodiments, target bodies or detachable components thereof may be fashioned to look like animals or a detachable assembly which resemble an animal, zombie, or monster.
