A proximity sensor for a Laser Guided Bomb (LGB) is provided. A proximity sensor for a Laser Guided Bomb (LGB) includes: an electronics package unit (EPU) configured to be connected to a front end of a warhead; and at least one sensor separate from the EPU and configured to be connected to a forward adapter that is connected to the front end of the warhead. The at least one sensor is configured to obtain data that is used to determine a height above ground of the LGB. The EPU is configured to compare the determined height above ground to a predefined value. The EPU is configured to generate a detonation signal for the warhead based on the determined height above ground being equal to or less than the predefined value.

Low skew synchronization of disparate wireless nodes in a pyrotechnic environment

A system and method of effecting time synchronization between disparate nodes on a network where at least one node has knowledge of the true network time, at least one other node requires synchronization to the true network time, and a third node is utilized to facilitate the synchronization process.

Accurate range-to-go for command detonation

The system and method for accurately determining range-to-go for the command detonation of a projectile. Using dual laser and/or radio frequency detectors on the tail and on the nose of a spinning projectile to determine the range-to-go, time-to-go, or lateral offset from the projectile to the target.

Wireless electronic detonator

A wireless electronic detonator includes an energy source and functional modules. A first switching switch is provided between the energy source and the functional modules, making it possible to connect or not connect the energy source to the functional modules. A control module for controlling the first switching means includes a module for recovering radio energy configured to receive a radio signal from a control console, to recover the electric energy in the radio signal received, to generate an energy recovery signal (VRF) representative of the level of electric energy recovered, and to generate as output a control signal (VOUT) as a function of the recovered energy, the control signal controlling the first switch.
