Measuring instrument with coupled antenna

A measuring instrument having an antenna element coupled to the measuring instrument is disclosed. The measuring instrument includes a planar substrate with an antenna connector coupled to the planar substrate and further coupled to the antenna element. At least a portion of the planar instrument comprises indicia wherein said indicia collectively forms the measuring instrument.

A templating device for preparing beams includes a rod that has opposed ends, each of which is both slidably engageable and fixedly engageable to a first segment of a respective protractor of a pair of protractors, such that the first segment extends linearly from the rod. The first segment is pivotally engaged to a second segment, which is selectively fixably positionable relative to the first segment. The rod and the first segments are positioned between a pair of surfaces, with each second segment positioned flush to a respective surface. A user fixes the second segment relative to the first segment to provide a respective angle measurement and a length measurement between the surfaces, and then templates these measurements onto a beam. The user then can cut the beam to length, with the ends of the beam angled so that the beam fits between the pair of surfaces.

An instrument for establishing orientation of a pelvic prosthesis comprises a hub, a first arm attached to and extending from the hub, and a second arm attached to and extending from the hub. The first and second arms define a nominal plane of the apparatus, and may extend from the hub at an angle relative to each other. Distances between the first and second legs and between the first and third legs are adjustable. The first, second, and third legs have tips, and the tips of the first, second, and third legs define a plane having a predefined geometric relationship to the nominal plane of the apparatus.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEASURING AN ANGLE IN A TURBOMACHINE

A tool includes a first body portion having opposite first and second recesses facing toward one another about a space, wherein the opposite first and second recesses are configured to contact opposite sides of a first component disposed in the space. The tool includes a second body portion configured to rotate relative to the first body portion, wherein the second body portion is configured to contact a reference surface relative to the first component. The tool further includes an angle meter configured to measure an angle of the first component based on an angular position of the second body portion relative to the first body portion.

ROOF SQUARE WITH BLADE LOCKING AND RELEASE MECHANISM

A roof square for marking rafters comprising a right angle triangular body with a marking blade pivotally mounted adjacent the right angle. Either side of the square adjacent the right angle is held against the stock to be marked, and the blade used to mark either a plumb cut or a foot cut. The blade retracts to allow marks to be made at a measured depth. The tool can also be used as a conventional square to make 90 and 45 degree marks.

Angle measurement apparatus

An angle measurement apparatus for use with a panel such as siding is provided. The apparatus includes a base portion defining a locating feature that is engageable with a reference feature on the panel. An arm portion is rotatably mounted with respect to the base portion such that the arm portion is selectively rotatable with respect to the base portion about an axis. The arm portion can thus be rotated to form a desired angle with the base portion, and, correspondingly, with the panel.
