Processing apparatus, processing method, and program

A processing apparatus includes a control unit. The control unit is configured to acquire facility information containing an advertisement or publicity on a facility located along a travel route that a vehicle is scheduled to travel or a facility located within a predetermined range from the travel route, and, while the vehicle is traveling along the travel route, process an image of a first facility associated with the facility information or an image of a second facility present around the first facility based on the facility information and display the image of the first facility or the image of the second facility on a display provided in the vehicle.

Vehicle Map Service System

Provided are methods, systems, devices, and tangible non-transitory computer readable media for providing data including vehicle map service data. The disclosed technology can perform operations including receiving vehicle map service data from a plurality of service systems that include a plurality of client systems associated with a vehicle. The vehicle map service data can include information associated with a geographic area. A local map of the geographic area within a predetermined distance of the vehicle can be generated based on the vehicle map service data. Portions of the local map to which each client system is subscribed can be determined for each client system of the plurality of client systems. Additionally, the portions of the local map to which each client system is subscribed can be sent to a respective client system of the plurality of client systems.

METHOD FOR MAP-BASED AUTHENTICATION CHALLENGES

Map-based security authentication challenges are disclosed. A user authentication method includes prompting a user to select a past route the user traveled for authentication in response to a request to access a banking computing resource. A map corresponding to the past route is transmitted to a mobile device of the user for display on the mobile device. The user is requested to trace the past route on the map. A machine learning model is invoked to compute a similarity score between the past route and a map tracing received in response to the request the user trace the past route. The method verifies a user identity, and when the similarity score satisfies a predetermined.

A method of authentication in ride hailing situations may include directing, by a first computing device of a passenger, the passenger to point a camera of the first computing device toward a location of a second computing device of a driver located in a vehicle, receiving data from the camera, wherein the data comprises streaming image frames including vehicle information pertaining to a vehicle included in the streaming image frames, analyzing the data to obtain the vehicle information, and determining whether the vehicle in the streaming image frames corresponds to an expected vehicle for the driver, the determination based on the vehicle information and expected vehicle information.

Autonomous vehicle remote teleoperations system

A teleoperations system may be used to modify elements in the mapping data used by an autonomous vehicle to cause the autonomous vehicle to control its trajectory based on the modified elements. In addition, in some instances, a teleoperations system may be used to generate virtual paths of travel for an autonomous vehicle based upon teleoperations system virtual path suggestion inputs.

NAVIGATION APPARATUS

A navigation apparatus includes: an own vehicle position calculation unit, a scroll processing unit, and a map drawing unit that display a map image of an own vehicle position and its surroundings as a current-location window at a current-location scale, and when swiping of the screen by a user's finger is detected using a touch panel, display a map image of which display range is moved in response to this swipe operation as a scroll window at a scroll scale; a scale setting unit that changes the current-location scale and the scroll scale in response to pinch-in/out; and a scale determination unit that, when display of the current-location window is instructed by the user and a predetermined condition is satisfied, updates the current-location scale using the scroll scale, and in other cases, maintains the previous current-location scale.

Connected vehicle for providing navigation directions to merchant terminals that process vehicle payments

Methods, systems, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable media are described for using a vehicle as a payment device. Various aspects may include receiving a selection of a stored financial card or financial account at a vehicle head unit. The selected financial card or financial account may be transmitted to a point-of-sale (POS) terminal for making a payment by transmitting a tokenized card number to the POS terminal. The tokenized card number may be transmitted over a very short-range communication link to ensure that the transmission is secure. For example, electronic circuitry may be attached to the exterior of the vehicle, where the electronic circuitry may be within a threshold distance (e.g. one inch, three inches, six inches, one foot, three feet, etc.) of the POS terminal. The tokenized card number may be transmitted from the vehicle head unit to the electronic circuitry and then to the POS terminal.

Suggesting a route based on desired amount of driver interaction

Aspects of the disclosure relate generally to generating and providing route options for an autonomous vehicle. For example, a user may identify a destination, and in response the vehicle's computer may provide routing options to the user. The routing options may be based on typical navigating considerations such as the total travel time, travel distance, fuel economy, etc. Each routing option may include not only an estimated total time, but also information regarding whether and which portions of the route may be maneuvered under the control of the vehicle alone (fully autonomous), a combination of the vehicle and the driver (semiautonomous), or the driver alone. The time of the longest stretch of driving associated with the autonomous mode as well as map information indicating portions of the routes associated with the type of maneuvering control may also be provided.
