ACTIVATABLE PRINT MEDIUM
An activatable print medium is disclosed. The print medium includes a first reactive component, a second reactive component, wherein the first and second reactive components are configured to react to initiate a state change of the activatable print medium when exposed to each other and a barrier that is initially in an unactivated form and configured to transition to an activated form when activated by an application of at least one of an activation heat and an activation pressure wherein after the barrier is activated, but not before, the activatable print medium is configured so that the first and second reactive components interact in response to a predetermined environmental stimulus or interact over time at a rate dependent on an environmental stimulus, thereby providing an indication of the cumulative historical exposure of the activatable print medium to the environmental stimulus.

Method and system for sensor configuration
Described herein are methods and systems for controlling a sensor assembly with a plurality of same type sensors. Sensors are operated in active and inactive states and have a corresponding performance parameter and reliability parameter that may be determined. The activation state of at least one of the sensors is changed based on an operational parameter. The performance parameter and/or the reliability parameter can then be updated.

Sensor management and reliability
A system and method for managing sensors including determining health operation states of the sensors correlative with sensor accuracy, classifying the sensors by their respective health operation state, and teaming two sensors each having a health operation state that is intermediate to give a team having a health operation state that is healthy. The sampling frequency of the sensors to determine sensor accuracy may be dynamic.

METHOD FOR DETECTING A RECIPROCAL POSITION BETWEEN A CYLINDER AND A PISTON OF A PISTON-CYLINDER UNIT AND A RELATIVE PISTON-CYLINDER UNIT
A method is provided for detecting a reciprocal position between a cylinder and a piston of a piston-cylinder unit of a vehicle. The method includes measuring, by means of an optical sensor, a value of an indicative parameter of a color of a reference mark positioned on a portion of the piston. The method also includes comparing the measured value with at least a predetermined threshold value thereof different to a minimum detected threshold of the indicative parameter by the optical sensor; and
emitting an alarm signal perceptible by a driver of a vehicle if the measured value is comprised between the threshold value and the minimum value.
