Dosage Delivery in Miniature Dispensing Pumps
20170367882 · 2017-12-28 ·

A meniscus compensating device for a low dosage fluid dispenser, the dispenser having a pump that is fluidly connectable between a pump outlet and a nozzle portion of the dispenser. The pump is operable to dispense a predetermined dose of the fluid through the pump outlet toward the nozzle portion. The meniscus compensating device has a fluid displacer, operable to displace a predetermined volume provided within the fluid column defined between the pump outlet and the nozzle mouth of the nozzle portion and the fluid displacer displaces the predetermined volume during dispensation of a releasing dose from the dispenser pump. The fluid displacer is at least partially released as or after the pump outlet is closed following the dose dispensation, thereby enabling the fluid column defined between the pump outlet and the nozzle mouth of the nozzle portion to occupy the previous displaced predetermined volume, thereby causing the meniscus formed after the dose dispensation at the terminal end of the fluid column at or near the nozzle mouth to come to rest at a substantively consistent predetermined position at or within the nozzle mouth.

Metering device for powder and method for metering powder

A metering device for the volumetric metering of powder, including pharmaceutical powder, and the simultaneous metering and filling of target cavities with metered powder, as well as a metering system and an associated method are shown. One embodiment of the metering device includes a metering station with a powder storage container, a filling station, and a movable metering member. The metering member has a flat transfer surface that includes metering cavities, which correspond in number and geometry to target cavities arranged in the filling station, and also to metering openings in the metering station. The metering cavities each have an open end and a base, wherein an air-permeable filter element forms at least a part of the base of each. The metering member includes a central pressure channel connected to the metering cavities through the filter elements for applying a negative or positive pressure to the metering cavities.

A liquid dosing device for dispensing a metered dose of liquid from a squeezable container, comprising an outlet passage leading to a discharge opening; a dosing chamber positioned behind said discharge opening and having at least one entrance opening allowing a charging flow of liquid from said container into said dosing chamber under the influence of weight of liquid, and a drive opening allowing a control flow of liquid from said container into said dosing chamber in response on a rise of pressure of liquid in the squeezable container; a floating plunger movably arranged in the dosing chamber so as to advance upon said rise of pressure from a rest position in which under the influence of a lifting force of buoyancy said floating plunger closes said drive opening, into a blocking position in which said floating plunger blocks said outlet passage, wherein said floating plunger when advancing into said blocking position, pushes said liquid charged into said dosing chamber, to said outlet passage; a stop seat upon which said floating plunger acts in its blocking position, and a sealing lip for closing said outlet passage, being arranged such that a seat-sided portion of the floating plunger or a plunger-sided portion of the stop seat and said sealing lip is formed, particularly injection-mold, of one single piece of the same plastic material.

Nozzles useful for shower systems

A shower nozzle assembly includes a shower nozzle, a nozzle attachment, and a bayonet connector. The shower nozzle has a water inlet opening and a water outlet part spaced from the water inlet opening, with the water outlet opening being configured to direct a flow of water out of the shower nozzle. The nozzle attachment has a through bore configured to receive the water outlet part therein. The bayonet connection is operative to secure the nozzle attachment to the shower nozzle, and includes a radial projection and a female bayonet receptor part configured to receive the radial projection therein to secure the shower nozzle to the nozzle attachment.

The invention comprises a cylindrical reservoir (1) with a mouth (14), side through hole (3), shaft (28) and perimeter flange (8) whose top is associated with a concentric cover (2) anchored to the container (6) equipped with an upper mouth (13), vertical or diagonal grooves (16) and a lower mouth (11); the cover (2) enables the rotary or longitudinal sliding of the reservoir (1), which is activated by the pressure exerted by the cap (T) on said reservoir (1) which descends when the container is closed and takes the side through hole (3) out from inside the cover (2), descent that enables the reservoir (1) to be filled; when removing said cap (T), the reservoir (1) rises driven by the compression means (10), (17), (24) or (25) leaving the through hole (3) thereof enclosed inside the cover (2); the dose (Ds) is selected by tipping over the container (6) and when the liquid returns to the vertical position and is levelled, it is calibrated and when the cap is unscrewed, it is served and used, and so on.

AUTOMATED DRY GRANULAR MATERIAL DISPENSER
20210252528 · 2021-08-19 ·

An automatic dry material dispenser for dispensing dry material such as fertilizer to pots or other containers passing by on a conveyor. The device is controlled by a photo-detector or mechanical switch to dispense material when the container is in the proper position. The device consists of a material reservoir, a flexible feed hose, a pipe and elbow which can be pivoted by an electric solenoid and electronics for control. As the pipe and elbow are pivoted to a stop by the solenoid material is expelled from the elbow and down into the passing pot. The amount of material dispensed is controlled by an insert-able cylinder and by selecting the number of dispensing cycles per pot.
