FILL LEVEL MEASUREMENT DEVICE
20170336238 · 2017-11-23 ·

The present disclosure relates to a fill level measuring device for measuring a fill level of a liquid material in a container, including at least two flexible wire probes that extend into the container, a signal generator, and an end weight for each flexible wire probe. The end-weights are joined together such that they can rotate with respect to each other and/or can move in an axial direction with respect to each other.

FILL LEVEL MEASURING DEVICE

Disclosed is a method for a radar-based fill level measurement according to the pulse transit time method. Also disclosed a fill level measuring device for carrying out said method. On the basis of an evaluation signal, the relation between the clock rate and the sampling rate, and a predefined target relation, an evaluation curve is generated. The fill level is thereby determined on the basis of said evaluation curve. The evaluation curve is generated by means of temporal expansion or compression of the evaluation signal, wherein the compression or the expansion is carried out as a function of a ratio between the measured relation and the target relation. Any deviation of the sampling rate from the setpoint value of the sampling rate, for example due to faulty control, is compensated. Thus, the potentially attainable accuracy of the fill level measurement is increased due to the invention.

Devices and methods for measurement of liquid volumes

Methods and devices for measuring the volume of a liquid sample transferred from a source to a destination by means of incremental dispensing of the sample into a destination vessel or by means of decremental aspiration of the sample from a source vessel, where the liquid sample is collected from a liquid having known optical absorbance at a known wavelength or within a defined part of the electromagnetic spectrum. The absorbance of the sample is measured by exposing the source or destination vessel to electromagnetic radiation before and after the transfer, and the liquid volume is determined on the basis of differential measurements of absorbance of the source or destination vessel.

Toilet overflow prevention system and method

A system for preventing overflow of a toilet includes a sensor, a processor and an actuator. The sensor senses a parameter caused by fluid dynamics within the toilet during a flush cycle. The parameter may involve vibration, sound, pressure, fluid flow rate or other detectible characteristics of the toilet. The processor uses information regarding the parameter that is gathered by the sensor to evaluate the condition of the flush cycle to determine if an impeded flush condition exists. In the event of an impeded flush condition, the processor directs the actuator to close a valve, which may be the toilet flapper valve in some embodiments. Also disclosed are methods for preventing toilet overflow, detecting an impeded flush condition and calibrating the system.

Level sensor or point level sensor with temperature compensation

A sensor is provided for generating an output signal for detecting a limit level of a medium, a filling level of the medium, and/or for differentiating between different media, the sensor including: a processor to process a measurement signal generated using the sensor; and a reference unit to generate a reference signal, the processor is further configured to perform temperature compensation using the reference signal, the processor and the reference unit each having a signal conversion unit to provide temperature-dependent signal conversion, the signal conversion units being thermally coupled to one another, and the temperature compensation includes compensating for temperature dependency of the signal conversion unit of the processor using a thermal coupling.
