Method and device for detecting the weight of a load moving on scales

The invention relates to a method for calculating the weight of a load moving on scales (1). According to the method, a load signal of the scales is determined over a period of time using the speed of the load, and several partial load signals (TL.sub.1, TL.sub.2) are used, the total thereof providing the load signal, a first partial load signal (TL.sub.1) displaying a maximum value as long as the load is fully on the weighing section of the scales (1), and a second partial load signal (TL.sub.2) displaying a minimum value as long as the load is completely removed from the weighing section of the scales (1), and the speed of the movement of the load is determined from said partial load signals (TL.sub.1 and TL.sub.2). The invention also relates to scales for carrying out said method, comprising two weighing units (10, 11) with flexible deformation elements on which deformation sensors (7, 15), which generate the partial load signals (TL.sub.1,TL.sub.2), are arranged.

In one embodiment, a method includes computing predicted controls according to at least a defined skill level of the driver. The predicted controls indicate how to control the vehicle to maintain the vehicle along a driving path on a roadway. The method includes, in response to receiving manual control inputs from the driver, generating control feedback to the driver about the manual control inputs based, at least in part, on a difference between the manual control inputs and the predicted controls.

The method detects, by one or more of a radar detector, a Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) detector, or a camera, a braking event of a nearby vehicle. The method stores, in a storage device, the braking event of the nearby vehicle. The method communicates a signal indicative of the braking event of the nearby vehicle to a brake system of the driven vehicle. The method also alerts the driver, by one or more of a user display alert or an audible alert, of the braking event of the nearby vehicle.

As a result, the frequency of an erroneous determination can be decreased.

Vehicle information transmitting device

To provide a vehicle information transmitting device capable of transmitting information associated with danger at a periphery of the own vehicle in a manner intuitively understandable by the driver. In the present embodiment, when a dangerous direction is the left or the right, a display position of an own vehicle state display figure is changed from a display position in an initial state to a display position on the same side as the dangerous direction. If the dangerous direction is on the front, the display position of the own vehicle state display figure is changed from the display position in the initial state to a display position on an upper side. When a dangerous target is detected, a display area of the own vehicle state display figure is changed to a display area greater than the display area in the initial state.
