The LED control circuit receives the activation signal and activates the particular LED to illuminate the divider tab located at the particular paint color chip location within the display assembly.

For example, using harmony-distribution rules, the DHS maps a set of décor accessories occupying “60%” of the area of a room to a main color of a color palette, a second set of décor accessories occupying “30%” to a feature color and a third set of décor accessories occupying “10%” to an accent color. The DHS generates a representation of the room, e.g., an image of the room, with the décor accessories having the assigned colors. The DHS facilitates a user to use the generated image for finding and purchasing décor products that match with a décor accessory in the generated image.

An automatic tag identification system identifies tags for color themes, a color theme referring to a set of multiple colors that work well together to create (e.g., are visually appropriate for creating) a desired effect, and a tag referring to one or more words that describe a color theme. The automatic tag identification system receives an indication of the multiple colors (e.g., five colors) for a color theme. A first machine learning system uses the indicated multiple colors to generate a color theme embedding for the color theme, which is a vector encoding or embedding of the color theme. The second machine learning system uses the color theme embedding generated by the first machine learning system to generate one or more tags that label the color theme. These one or more tags can then be saved as associated with or corresponding to the multiple colors for the color theme.

The processor assigns a first lighting characteristic to the first device and a second lighting characteristic to the second device, identifies a first set of LEDs associated with the first paint color chip locations and a second set of LEDs associated with the second paint color chip locations, and transmits an activation signal to the LED control circuit to activate the first set of LEDs based on the first lighting characteristic and the second set of LEDs based on the second lighting characteristic.

In one implementation a compliant substrate which is largely transparent with an area having a shade/color is placed on an inanimate object to see how the shade/color will appear on the inanimate object without the substrate itself causing an unnecessary barrier between the inanimate object and the shade/color.
