A device for estimating an outer surface temperature of a radiant coil which is provided in an cracking furnace for ethylene production including a convection coil that preheats hydrocarbons as raw materials and steam, a radiant coil that thermally decomposes the preheated hydrocarbons and steam, and a housing for accommodating them, and which includes an imaging camera that images a region to be imaged of the radiant coil, and an image analyzer that processes an output signal from the imaging camera and estimates an outer surface temperature of the radiant coil.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS FOR HELPING INTUITIVE AND EASY RECOGNITION OF TEMPERATURE OF HEAT SOURCE
An infrared camera captures a subject to generate a thermal image thereof. A distance sensor detects distances from an information processing apparatus to points on the subject. A storage device stores a temperature-to-color conversion table indicative of correspondences between temperatures and pixel colors. A control device processes the thermal image based on the conversion table, to display the processed thermal image on a display device. The control device identifies a region of interest within a range of a predetermined distance from a reference point of the subject based on the distances detected by the distance sensor, sets lower and upper limits of a temperature range based on temperatures of points within the region of interest, updates the conversion table based on the lower and upper limits, and regenerates the thermal image based on the updated conversion table, to display the regenerated thermal image on the display device.
Temperature measurement calibration in an additive manufacturing system
Examples of temperature measurement calibration in an additive manufacturing system are described. In one case, a method of calibrating a non-contact temperature measurement device involves applying energy from a radiation source of the additive manufacturing system to heat a reference element. The reference element is thermally coupled to a temperature sensor. A temperature reading from the temperature sensor is compared with data from the non-contact temperature measurement device to calibrate the device.

An image display device generates a temperature information image indicating, by a numerical value, a temperature of each pixel contained in a predetermined area including a position on a thermal image specified by a user, and causes a display to display the temperature information image while a temperature of a pixel corresponding to the position specified is displayed at a center of the temperature information image. The image display device sets a temperature range that has a predetermined temperature width and a center which is a temperature of a pixel corresponding to a position the temperature information image specified by the user, updates the temperature-color conversion information based on the set temperature range, regenerates the thermal image and the temperature information image based on the temperature-color conversion information updated, and causes the display to display the regenerated thermal image and the regenerated temperature information image.

A method for repairing a refractory lining of a metallurgical vessel in the hot state. This repair takes place using a supplying apparatus. In addition, recording of at least the worn regions and monitoring of the repair are carried out by a monitoring device. Before, during and/or after the supplying of material, at least a partial region of the areas of the refractory lining of the vessel or the gunning jet is recorded photographically with visualization of the temperature ranges. This results in an evaluation with regard to different parameters such as properties, layer thickness and/or distribution of the supplied material. It has been demonstrated that visualization of the temperature ranges of the areas to be repaired and of the refractory material during supplying of material enables different parameters to be established very accurately, and as a result, optimal coating of the wall lining can be achieved.

A method includes capturing an image, and performing region detection on the captured image. The region detection includes identifying an object represented in the captured image. The method further includes detecting emissivity of the identified object and determining the temperature of the object based on the detected emissivity of the object.
