An autonomous robotic vehicle is capable of detecting, identifying, and locating the source of gas leaks such as methane. Because of the number of operating components within the vehicle, it may also be considered a robotic system. The robotic vehicle can be remotely operated or can move autonomously within a jobsite. The vehicle selectively deploys a source detection device that precisely locates the source of a leak. The vehicle relays data to stakeholders and remains powered that enables operation of the vehicle over an extended period. Monitoring and control of the vehicle is enabled through a software interface viewable to a user on a mobile communications device or personal computer.

Sensor device and sensing method

A sensor device determines measured values of a property of a fluid, in particular of a gas, in a cavity of a gas turbine engine having a duct for carrying the fluid from the cavity to a sensor element. A data processing device is coupled to the sensor element and processes the measured values. The data processing device has a device for detecting changes in the measured values with respect to time, and an evaluation device, by which the changes in the measured values with respect to time can be detected. If there is a deviation in the changes in the measured values with respect to time from a predefined criterion, a signal relating to an at least partial blockage of the at least one inlet duct can be output. A measurement method is also disclosed.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR RECURSIVE HYPERSPECTRAL IMAGING

Systems, methods, and computer program products for recursive modifications are provided. An example imaging system includes a first infrared (IR) imaging device that generates first IR image data of a first field of view of the first IR imaging device at a first time and a computing device operably connected with the first IR imaging device. The computing device receives the first IR image data from the first IR imaging device and determines a first set of pixels and a second set of pixels from amongst a plurality of pixels associated with the first IR image data. The computing device further determines a first modification protocol for the first set of pixels and determines a second modification protocol for the second set of pixels. In response, the computing device generates a recursive modification input based upon the first and second modification protocols.

Passive leak detection for building water supply

A method and system for detecting small leaks in a plumbing system is disclosed. A temperature sensor coupled to the water in the plumbing system is used to determine if there is a leak. During times of inactivity for fixtures in the plumbing systems, a flow sensor might measure usage of water that would indicate a leak. For very small leaks, the flow is below a minimum measurable flow of the flow sensor. Embodiments of the invention measure temperature of water within a pipe coupled to the plumbing system. Temperature will generally decay in a particular predicable way when there is flow as the temperature of water upon entry to the building is lower than the air temperature within the building. Signal processing, machine learning and/or statistical approaches are used to analyze the temperature and optionally flow and/or pressure over time to determine when a leak is likely.
