Flow Detection Device
A flow detector for detecting flow rates of fluid in pipes by measuring the temperature of the pipe and the ambient temperature and determining from the signals whether there is a flow in the pipe,by the shape of the temperature signals without providing any heat input to the pipe or fluid.
GAS LEAKAGE METER
A gas leakage meter (100) for use onsite in a process plant comprises a housing (110) with an inlet (101), an outlet (102) and an inlet nozzle (111) fluidly connected to a unit to be tested (3) through a downstream connector (1040) and to the inlet (101), the housing (110) being filled with a liquid to a level (10). An inclined pipe (120) is arranged such that, in use, test gas released from the inlet nozzle (111) raises through a liquid and the inclined pipe (120) to a gas-collecting chamber (122) at an upper end of the inclined pipe. (120). The gas-collecting chamber (122) has a gas release valve (150; 170) for releasing test gas before a test period. Embodiments where the inclined pipe (120) is mounted on a pivot and alternative gas release valves (150, 170) are also disclosed.
Inspection System
An inspection system inspects a flow of gas in a container storage facility that includes a placement table and a gas supply device to supply gas to the container. The inspection system includes: an inspection unit placeable on the placement table, and a determiner. The gas supply device includes: a gas supply section located in the placement table to be connectable to the container inflow section of the container; a gas supply pipe; and a supply gas flow rate controller to control a flow rate of the gas supplied to the gas supply section through the gas supply pipe, so as to be equal to a predetermined supply gas flow rate. The inspection unit includes: an inspection inflow section connectable to the gas supply section, and an inflow rate measurer to measure an inflow rate of the gas flowing thereto from the inspection inflow section.
DEVICE FOR ENGINE MONITORING
An air monitoring system measures tan amount of pollutant in the air. The system includes a plurality of air quality sensor devices arranged within a selected area. Each of the air quality sensor devices is configured to measure air pollutant levels in the selected area, and includes at least one sensor operatively coupled to a controller, wherein the controller is configured to receive a measured input from the at least one sensor. A wireless communication device is coupled to the controller, and is configured to communicate with a central server device.
Turbine wastegate having a fluidic sealing arrangement and a method of testing thereof
A turbine comprising: a turbine housing, a wastegate passage connecting the turbine inlet and the turbine outlet; and a wastegate valve comprising a movable valve member. The wastegate valve has an open state in which a first gas may pass between a turbine inlet a turbine outlet via the wastegate passage and a closed state in which the valve member substantially prevents said first gas from passing between the turbine inlet and the turbine outlet. The valve member is mounted to an actuation member that passes through a bore of the turbine housing. The actuation member is movable to move the wastegate valve between the open and closed states. The turbine comprises a fluid conduit configured to deliver a second gas to the bore to form a fluidic seal between the bore and the actuation member to substantially prevent the passage of said first gas along the bore.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC LEAK DETECTION
An apparatus for automatic leak detection, including a chamber to enclose a test specimen. A vacuum pump is in selectable fluid communication via an adiabatic noise cancellation valve with the chamber. A pressure transducer determines a pressure in the test specimen and transmits a pressure signal to a controller. The controller is to control the adiabatic noise cancellation valve to cause the vacuum pump to draw a vacuum from a space between the test specimen and the chamber thereby creating an adiabatic noise cancelling condition in which a temperature of the test specimen is stabilized. The controller is to control a flow of a test gas into the test specimen, and to determine a pressure decay rate from the pressure signal. The controller is to determine if the test specimen meets a leak test specification based on the pressure decay rate under the adiabatic noise cancelling condition.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMPRESSOR LEAK DETECTION
A method for leak detection in a system including a compressor. A first pressure differential is determined in the system via a first pressure differential indicator (PDI). The first pressure differential is converted into a first flow measurement. A second flow measurement is determined downstream of the compressor using a second PDI. The first flow measurement and the second flow measurement are compared to determine whether a leak exists between the first PDI and the second PDI.
Puncture detector with rotatable element
An apparatus for detecting a puncture comprises a housing comprising a plurality of compartments. Each compartment comprises an opening for receiving a flow of air into the compartment. Each compartment also comprises a detection element mounted on an axle, the axle having a first end and a second end and being secured at said first end and said second end within the compartment. The detection element is rotatable about the axle and when a flow of air passes through the opening into the compartment, the detection element rotates around the axle in response to the flow of air.
System and method for detecting leaks in a fluid filled vessel
A leak detecting device for a fluid filled vessel including a housing, a solid shaft, an anchoring attachment, and a resilient member. The housing has a continuous perimeter edge sized to extend around an underwater surface, forms a hollow interior, and includes a first aperture formed through a wall of the housing and a second aperture formed through the wall of the housing. The solid shaft extends through the first aperture of the housing and has a first end on an interior side of the housing and a second end on an exterior side of the housing. The anchoring attachment is secured to the first end of the solid shaft. The resilient member is secured to the perimeter edge of the housing.
SEAL DETECTING DEVICE AND MEANS THEREOF
A seal detecting device and means for detecting an electronic device includes providing a through hole on an outer case of the electronic device, an inner side of the electronic device is connected to an outer side of the electronic device; providing an airtight container, placing the outer case of the electronic device into the airtight container, one of the inner side and outer side of the outer case is defined as an gas supply side, and the other side is an detecting side; supplying compressed gas to the gas supply side; leading the detecting side to outside and detect the gas flow, so as to detect if there is a leakage on the electronic device. The device and means have the advantages of high sensitivity, quick detecting speed, and high accuracy.
