20230051653 · 2023-02-16 ·

The present invention discloses an accessory for making and coupling a flow path between a package and a tester. The accessory is configured to automatically make a hole onto a package. The accessory is further configured to form a hole without utilizing a hollow needle or a septum. The accessory is further configured to couple the hole of the package to the tester, which could be a leakage tester or a gas tester, or a tester that performs both gas detection test and leakage test. The accessory is further configured to seal a flow path between the hole and the tester from an external environment. The accessory is further configured to make and couple the flow path between the package and the tester either manually or automatically.

SYSTEM FOR STABILIZING FLOW OF GAS INTRODUCED INTO SENSOR

Provided is a system for stabilizing a flow of gas introduced into a sensor, wherein, in connection with manufacturing equipment comprising a process chamber, a process chamber vacuum pump installed to remove internal gas of the process chamber, and a sensor device configured to be able to receive the internal gas of the process chamber through a sensor connecting pipe and to detect components thereof, the system comprises a sensor connecting pipe and a bypass pipe branching off from the sensor connecting pipe such that a part of the gas can be directly discharged to the outside without being introduced into the sensor, and the system is accordingly configured to stably provide the sensor device with a part of the internal gas within a predetermined range per time, regardless of a change in the pressure state of the process chamber.

A test specimen for detecting or determining a spatial distribution of microbes, the test specimen having measuring surfaces and a plurality of microbe collecting elements on each of the measuring surfaces. The invention also relates to a test chamber with such a test specimen, to an associated use and to an associated method.

MULTI-CHANNEL HEADSPACE EXTRACTION NEEDLE
20180003596 · 2018-01-04 ·

A multi-channel headspace extraction needle is provided. The extraction needle includes an inner needle tube, a sealed connector, and a needle rod and an outer needle tube respectively installed on a top portion and a bottom portion of the sealed connector. The sealed connector includes a first conduit and a second conduit connected with a tube lumen of the outer needle tube. A sealing layer is disposed between a bottom tube wall of the inner needle tube, which extends into the tube lumen of the outer needle tube, and a sidewall of the outer needle tube. The sidewall of the outer needle tube includes a first through-hole and a second through-hole respectively disposed above and under the sealing layer. The first through-hole is connected with the tube lumen of the outer needle tube and the second through-hole is connected with a tube lumen of the inner needle.

Gas supply method and gas sampler

A gas sampler includes a connection portion connectable to an introduction piping connected to a sample tank, a switching valve for switching a connection state between the connection portion and a sample loop, a pump, and a control device. A buffer flow path between the sample loop and the pump is configured to be selectively connectable to any one of a plurality of buffer tanks different in volume. A volume of the buffer flow path is greater than a volume of the introduction piping by a predetermined amount. The control device operates the pump in a state in which the switching valve is in a closed state to set an inside of the buffer flow path to a negative pressure, and thereafter stops the pump and make the switching valve in an open state to fill the sample loop with a sample gas by using the negative pressure of the buffer flow path.

Method and device for measuring an oxygen content of a headspace gas in a beverage can
11561154 · 2023-01-24 · ·

A method and a device for measuring an oxygen content of a headspace gas in a beverage can. The beverage can is oriented upside down to allow the headspace gas to collect at the bottom. A hollow piercer on a piercing head forms a sampling opening in the bottom of the can through which the sampling tube penetrates. The liquid level in the beverage can is lowered to establish a direct connection of the gas-filled headspace and the sampling opening. Then the headspace gas is transported from the headspace to a sensor unit via the sampling tube and/or the hollow piercer or the piercing head. The oxygen content and/or an oxygen partial pressure and/or a headspace volume of the headspace gas are determined by the sensor unit. The sampling opening is closed off airtight by sealing elements arranged on the piercer or the piercing head.

DISSOLVED GAS SENSING SYSTEM AND METHOD

An apparatus and method of use are provided; the apparatus having at least a degasser, a hollow core fiber HCF, an optical mechanism, a detector, and circuitry. The degasser enables gasses to permeate out of a liquid into the degasser interior. The propagator establishes a low-pressure area that helps to pull the gas from the degasser interior into the HCF interior, where the optical mechanism delivers electromagnetic radiation EMR that interacts with the gas. The detector determines EMR absorption, producing output signals which are sent to the circuitry. Circuitry controls the optical mechanism and analyzes the output signals to quantify the concentration of gas in the HCF and in the liquid.

CARBON DIOXIDE REUSING SYSTEM AND METHOD

A system and a method for reusing carbon dioxide are provided. The system includes: a process apparatus configured to discharge exhaust gas containing carbon dioxide therefrom; a purifying device configured to purify the exhaust gas, and thus produce reused carbon dioxide from the exhaust gas and store the produced reused carbon dioxide; a first supply tank configured to receive the reused carbon dioxide from the purifying device; a second supply tank configured to receive the reused carbon dioxide from the first supply tank and provide the reused carbon dioxide to the process apparatus; and a blocking device configured to, based on determining that a purity of the reused carbon dioxide provided from the purifying device to the first supply tank fails to satisfy a predefined reference, block flow of the reused carbon dioxide from the purifying device to the first supply tank.

Device and method for inspecting containers for the presence of foreign matter

Devices and methods for inspecting containers for the presence of foreign matter include, in at least one embodiment, at least one sampling head, at least one pressure sensor, and a filter. The at least one sampling head is configured to introduce an amount of a first fluid into a container and to remove an amount of a second fluid from the container for inspection for the presence of foreign matter. The at least one pressure sensor is configured to measure a pressure of the second fluid upon removal of the second fluid from the container. The filter is arranged in the at least one sampling head and is configured to filter the second fluid.
