STACKING DEVICE FOR MICROTITER PLATES
A device for receiving, stacking, and removing microplates is presented and described. The device comprises a tower for stacking the microplates, wherein a microplate comprises a container and, optionally, a lid. There is a retaining device at the lower end of the tower, which has a first retaining tool and a second retaining tool, and preferably partially encompasses a microplate. The first retaining tool is designed to hold a microplate in a form-fitting manner. The second retaining tool is designed to fix a container in the microplate in place in a frictional manner. The first retaining tool is above the second retaining tool in the stacking direction. A system that comprises the device described above, a dispenser device, and a transport device, is also disclosed. The dispenser device is used to fill microplates, and the transport device is used to add and remove microplates to and from the device.
Automatic assaying system and methods therefor
An automatic assaying system having a multiplex pipette cartridge section in which pipette cartridges are docked. At least one pipette cartridge has a different pipetting characteristic from another corresponding pipette cartridge, the different pipetting characteristic being selectable from a number of different pipetting characteristics. A multiplexing work item holder has an array of work item holder docks that dock corresponding work item holders selectable from pipette trays and pipette tip set racks that define the selectable different pipetting characteristic. One or more of the work item holder docks are indexed to selectably multiplex both the different interchangeable pipette trays and the at least one pipette set rack. A carrier moves the pipette cartridge or a work item holder carriage and a controller selects the at least one pipette tip set rack corresponding to a work item holder dock so as to effect automatic selection of the different pipetting characteristic.
SUPPORTING DEVICE AND INSPECTION METHOD
Supporting apparatus having a columnar first member and a cylindrical second member having an inner surface allowed to face with of an outer surface of the first member, one portion of the first member is inserted in a cylinder defined by the inner surface, a state of the members is allowed to change from a first state to a second state, the first state includes a state in which a predetermined space is ensured, the predetermined space is surrounded by one portion of the inner surface of the second member and an edge surface at one side of the first member that is different from the outer surface, the second state includes a state in which the second member has moved toward a side that is opposite to the one side relative to the first member from a base position of the members in the first state.
Analytical system with accurate positioning of multiwell plates
The present disclosure relates to an analytical system with at least three components: a multiwell plate on which the wells are included in an optically transparent area; a frame holding the multiwell plate close to its edge while permitting the plate a certain extent of freedom of movement; a baseplate to which the multiwell plate, but not the frame is firmly fixed via a docking mechanism, such that different expansion of plate and frame can be compensated. A second aspect described herein relates to a method of docking a corresponding multiwell plate held by a frame to a baseplate and subjecting the multiwell plate to a step of a biological or chemical assay within this arrangement.
AUTOMATIC ASSAYING SYSTEM AND METHODS THEREFOR

At least one pipette cartridge has a different pipetting characteristic from another corresponding pipette cartridge, the different pipetting characteristic being selectable from a number of different pipetting characteristics. A multiplexing work item holder has an array of work item holder docks that dock corresponding work item holders selectable from pipette trays and pipette tip set racks that define the selectable different pipetting characteristic. A carrier moves the pipette cartridge or a work item holder carriage and a controller selects the at least one pipette tip set rack corresponding to a work item holder dock so as to effect automatic selection of the different pipetting characteristic.
PLATE CHANGER
A plate changer that supplies a plate storing a sample to an autosampler included in an analyzer includes a storage that stores the plate, and a plate transporter that transports the plate by holding the plate, the plate transporter receiving the plate from a first plate changer provided at one side of the plate changer and also transferring the plate received from the first plate changer to a second plate changer or the autosampler provided at another side of the plate changer or transferring the plate stored in the storage to the second plate changer or the autosampler.

SAMPLE DILUTING AND DISPENSING DEVICE FOR ICP-AES ANALYSIS
The present invention relates to a sample diluting and dispensing device. The sample diluting and dispensing device according to the present invention includes: a sample holding plate in which a holding part for holding a plurality of sample vessels is formed; a moving unit for transferring the sample holding plate in a plane direction and a height direction; a sample supply unit for supplying a sample to the sample vessel; a diluent supply unit for supplying a diluent to the sample vessel; a scale installed below the sample holding plate to measure a weight of the sample vessel; and a controller for receiving a weight measurement result from the scale and controlling an operation of each of the sample holding plate, the sample supply unit, and the diluent supply unit.
Method for receiving a sample vessel from a sample carrier, and device designed to carry out the method
A sample vessel is picked up from a sample carrier with a gripping device including first and second gripping sections. The first and second gripping sections grip the sample vessel from first and second sides. First and second holders for the sample vessel are provided, as is a first tool for moving the sample vessel along a stroke movement path. In the method, the first and second gripping sections are positioned on first and second sides of the sample vessel and the first tool engages with the sample vessel; the sample vessel is moved along the stroke movement path; the sample vessel is picked up in the second holder; the first and second gripping sections are repositioned in a lateral direction orthogonal to the stroke movement path such that the sample vessel is arranged in a free area not occupied by the sample carrier.
Centrifuge with linear drive
A centrifuge has a rotor and a rotor chamber in which the rotor is arranged and rotatably mounted, wherein the rotor has a receiving region for receiving a reaction vessel unit, and the centrifuge being provided with a loading and unloading device comprising a rigid sliding rod for positioning a reaction vessel unit in or for removing a reaction vessel unit from the rotor, wherein the sliding bar is movably arranged in such a way that it, between a discharge position in which it extends through the rotor in the rotor chamber and a loading position in which it is pulled at least out of the region of the rotor chamber, which is stressed by the rotor during one revolution, and a linear drive for moving the sliding rod between the discharge position and the loading position.
