APPARATUS FOR DETECTING SURFACE CONDITION OF OBJECT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
An apparatus for detecting a surface condition of an object. The apparatus comprises a light source, a reflective face and an imaging device. The imaging device is configured to receive reflected light emanating from the reflective face. The reflective face is oriented at a first acute angle relative to an optical axis of the imaging device, such that a projection area of a virtual image of a surface formed via the reflective face is greater than a projection area of the surface on a plane perpendicular to the optical axis.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPTICAL STATE DETERMINATION
A method for managing electromagnetic interference (EMI) includes: obtaining electromagnetic radiation from a device, disposed in an internal volume of a data processing device, while the internal volume is EMI isolated and after the device performs a function; making a determination that the device disposed in the internal volume has an optical state associated with the electromagnetic radiation; and performing a first action set based on the determination, in which the electromagnetic radiation is obtained through a boundary of the internal volume.
DETECTION OF AN AMORPHOUS AND/OR CRYSTALLINE STRUCTURE OF PHOSPHATE AND/OR SULPHATE SALTS ON THE SURFACE OF A SUBSTRATE OR WITHIN A SUBSTRATE WITH A LWIR IMAGING SYSTEM
A method and an LWIR imaging system for detecting an amorphous and/or crystalline structure of phosphate and/or sulphate salts on the surface of a substrate or within a substrate are described. The method comprises the steps of i) providing an LWIR imaging system, the LWIR imaging system comprising a) an infrared light emitting source (A) that emits over the whole range of 8 to 14 micrometers, b) an LWIR detecting device (B) and c) a ToF distance sensor (C), ii) providing a substrate comprising an amorphous and/or crystalline structure of phosphate and/or sulphate salts on the surface of the substrate or within the substrate, ii) irradiating the provided substrate with the infrared light emitting source and iii) detecting, with the LWIR detecting device and using and/or based on the TOF distance sensor, the intensity of electromagnetic radiation scattered, emitted and/or reflected by the substrate and the amorphous and/or crystalline structure of phosphate and/or sulphate salts.
Container Visual Inspection Assembly and Method
Assemblies (10), devices, and methods are described herein that allow an examiner to inspect a container (12) of liquid product (14) through a bottom wall (18) of the container using a line-of-sight diversion member (28, e.g. beam splitter, mirror or prism). In some forms, the assemblies described herein can be provided with mounts and connecting arms to couple the devices to inspection booths.
System and method for finding dents on an automobile using a booth
A system and method for finding dents on an automobile is described herein. The system, in one embodiment, can be a booth that has a support structure, a plurality of wall sections, a roof, and interior surface defined at least in part by the wall sections and the roof, and a first geometric repeating pattern on a first region of the interior space. The method in one embodiment, can be receiving an automobile within the booth described above, illuminating the booth to cause the first geometric repeating pattern of the booth to reflect off a surface of said automobile; and identifying presence of defects using a reflected pattern, the reflected pattern a reflected image of the first geometric repeating pattern on the automobile.
Support system for specified inspection, support method for specified inspection, and non-transitory computer readable medium
The purpose of the present invention is to increase accuracy of a specific test using an electronic microscope and improve work efficiency. Provided is a system that identifies test recipe information corresponding to an object to be tested on the basis of attribute information about a testing sample, and analyzes and evaluates the object to be tested contained in the testing sample by checking image data and element analysis data that are acquired by a measuring device in accordance with a control program for the test recipe information, against reference image data and reference element analysis data that are used as evaluation references for the object to be tested.
Computing progressive failure in materials and structures by integration of digital image correlation with acoustic emission monitoring data
An inventive approach is disclosed to integrate Digital Image Correlation (DIC) with the Acoustic Emission method that may be used for structural health monitoring and assessment of critical structural components in civil, mechanical, and aerospace industries. The inventive approach relies on passively recording acoustic emission across the specimen being tested and activating the DIC cameras automatically to measure deformation on the specimen's surface. The resulting acousto-optic system can be used to determine damage initiation, progressive damage development, identify critical regions and make lifetime predictions of the tested specimen.
MANUAL INSPECTION WORKSTATION
A manual inspection workstation, including abase and a body pivotally connected to one another and moveable between an upright position and compacted stowed position. A hood is connected to the body opposite the base and at least partially houses a light source. The manual inspection workstation includes a surface coating with physical properties that meet and exceed various FDA and U.S. Pharmacopeia guidelines and requirements. The light source includes a plurality of lighting options including intensity, color output, hue, and saturation. The light source further includes a communications module that allows multiple light sources to be wired together In a sequence or ring. The communications module further includes wireless connectivity to a remote computing device. The light source may further include an internal microprocessor and memory for instituting certain preconfigured light profile protocols.
Systems and methods for synthesizing a diamond using machine learning
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for synthesizing a diamond using a diamond synthesis machine. A processor receives a plurality of images of a diamond during synthesis within a diamond synthesis machine, each of the plurality of images captured within a time period. The processor executes a diamond state prediction machine learning model using the plurality of images to obtain a predicted data object, the predicted data object indicating a predicted state of the diamond within the diamond synthesis machine at a time subsequent to the time period. The processor detects a predicted defect, a number of defects, defect types, and/or sub-features of such defects and/or other characteristics (e.g., a predicted shape, size, and/or other properties of predicted contours for the diamond and/or pocket holder) of the predicted state of the diamond. The processor adjusts operation of the diamond synthesis machine.
