SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACKING LOGS IN A WOOD PROCESSING CHAIN
A system (100A) to track logs in a wood processing chain, includes a database arrangement (102) that includes pre-recorded image of a given log, wherein the given log is associated with log identification information. The system further includes a plurality of imaging devices implemented at a sorting station. The plurality of imaging devices (104) is configured to capture a first set of images from at least a first prespecified oblique angle. The system further includes a data processing arrangement (106) that is configured to: identify the given log at the sorting station; compare the at least one pre-recorded image with the captured first set of images at the sorting station in order to find an optimum image from the compared images for identification of the given log; determine a plurality of physical characteristics; and append the log identification information with the determined physical characteristics of the given log.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DEFECT DETECTION
Systems and methods are disclosed for detecting defects during manufacturing processes for materials and products. The provided systems may utilize imaging units and computer detection algorithms to determine the presence or absence of defects in manufactured materials or products. Detection of defects in material or products by the disclosed systems may prompt intervention in the manufacturing process to correct the source of the defects.
AUTOMATED INSPECTION MEASUREMENT IN GARMENT MANUFACTURING
A system for inspecting and validating processes performed on a continuous web of fabric in an automated apparel manufacturing environment. The continuous web of fabric can move in a step wise fashion across a work area where tooling can perform one or more processes on the continuous web of fabric. At least one projector is provided to display an image onto the continuous web of fabric the image including a first image related to an article to be manufactured and a second image related to a reference grid. The continuous web of fabric and the first and second images are viewed by a camera, and data related to the viewed first and second images and the continuous web of fabric can be sent to a computer implemented control center which can analyze the data to determine whether a deviation or error exists regarding the manufacturing process.
AN LED MATRIX LIGHTING DEVICE
An LED matrix lighting device for illuminating a lighting pattern with even intensity. The LED matrix lighting device includes a plurality of LEDs, a collimating lens in front of each LED for collimating light of the LED, and a light refracting element in front of collimating lenses arranged to refract light of at least a first part of the LEDs with a different refraction angle than at least a second part of the LEDs. The disclosure further relates to a machine vision system, a method, and a computer program product.
METHOD AND SYSTEM TO DETERMINE STRENGTH OF GREEN WOOD PRODUCTS USING NEAR INFRARED IMAGING
Near InfraRed NIR technology, including NIR cameras and detectors, is used to accurately determine the strength of the green veneer sheet or other wood product. Based on the determined strength for a given green veneer sheet or other wood product, one or more actions are taken with respect to green veneer sheet or other wood product to ensure the green veneer sheet or other wood product is put the most efficient, effective, and valuable use.
Multiscale uniformity analysis of a material
A method for characterizing the uniformity of a material includes selecting a set of size scales at which to measure uniformity within an area of interest in an image of the material; suppressing features in the image smaller than a selected size scale of interest within the set of size scales; dividing the image into patches equal to the size scale of interest; and calculating a uniformity value within each patch.
Automated inspection measurement in garment manufacturing

The continuous web of fabric can move in a step wise fashion across a work area where tooling can perform one or more processes on the continuous web of fabric. At least one projector is provided to display an image onto the continuous web of fabric the image including a first image related to an article to be manufactured and a second image related to a reference grid. The continuous web of fabric and the first and second images are viewed by a camera, and data related to the viewed first and second images and the continuous web of fabric can be sent to a computer implemented control center which can analyze the data to determine whether a deviation or error exists regarding the manufacturing process.
Method of synchronizing a line scan camera
A method of synchronizing a line scan camera. The method comprises: obtaining line scan data of a region of interest (ROI) of a travelling surface from the line scan camera, the line scan camera being oriented perpendicular to a direction of travel of the travelling surface, the line scan data comprising a plurality of lines; identifying occurrences of a major frequency of a repeated texture on the travelling surface using characterized line scan data for each line in the plurality of lines of the line scan data; determining a period of the major frequency; and changing a line rate of the line scan camera when the determined period is different than a reference period.

OPTICAL ELEMENT, ARTICLE, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING OPTICAL ELEMENT
An optical element includes a conversion layer and a metal piece layer. The conversion layer is provided with a light-incidence surface including an uneven surface, the conversion layer being configured to receive light incident on the uneven surface and output the light from the uneven surface as light in a different state than the incident light. The metal piece layer is configured by a plurality of metal pieces to cover at least part of the uneven surface.
