Method for degradation-compensated evaluation of luminescence sensor detection signals, and evaluation apparatus therefor
A method is provided for degradation-compensated evaluation of detection signals of a sensor arrangement operating on the principle of luminescence quenching, which arrangement has a luminophore that degrades over time, an excitation radiation source, and at least one optical sensor. The luminophore radiates, in accordance with a response characteristic of the sensor arrangement, in reaction to irradiation with a predefined modulated excitation radiation and as a function of the extent of an interaction of the luminophore with a quencher substance that quenches the luminescence of the luminophore. A response radiation is detected by the at least one optical sensor. The sensor arrangement outputs a detected intensity value representing an intensity of the response radiation and a detected phase value representing a phase difference of the response radiation with respect to the modulation of the excitation radiation. A predetermined calibration value correlation is identified in consideration of the reference response characteristic.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR NEAR INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY
A system for performing near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) monitors tissue oxygenation and/or hemodynamics. The system comprises a sensor coupled to a controller and/or processing device. The sensor comprises a light source which is operable to emit light of various distinct wavelengths and a detector which is operable to collect corresponding backscattered light.
Apparatus and method for monitoring particle flow in a stack
A method and apparatus (1) for monitoring particles flowing in a stack are disclosed. The method comprises emitting light from a light source along an optical path for scattering from the particles, rotating a rotatable monitoring assembly (15) mounted in the optical path, and detecting the scattered light using a detector. The rotatable monitoring assembly (15) contains at least two in apertures, and the method further comprises rotating the rotatable monitoring assembly (15) into a plurality of different configurations. In an operation configuration, light passes through the rotatable monitoring assembly (15) and into the stack unimpeded. In a zero-check configuration, the rotatable monitoring assembly (15) blocks the light from reaching the stack. In a span-check configuration, light of varying intensity passes from the light source through the rotatable monitoring assembly (15) into the stack. In a contamination-check configuration, the light is reflected through the rotatable monitoring assembly (15) onto the detector, without entering the stack. In the safety-shutter configuration, the rotatable monitoring assembly (15) protects optical components in the instrument from particles in the stack.
Device for measuring a property of a measurement object by luminescence
A device for monitoring a measurement object, comprising: an active unit having a light source emitting light with a wavelength spectrum and an optical detector. An optical link passes the emitted light to a at least one passive unit. Each passive unit comprises a sensor and a selector for diverting the emitted light to the sensor. The sensor comprises a luminescent material being directly or indirectly affected by the emitted light diverted by the selector. The sensor is sensitive to an external influence by the measurement object for producing a modulated signal, which is passed to said detector via the optical link. The luminescent material may be a fluorescent material, which is directly irradiated by the emitted light from the light source.
MEASURING DEVICE
The invention provides a measuring device for analyzing a luminescent sample and, in particular, for measuring the concentration of at least one analyte in a luminescent sample, comprising: a housing with a sample receptacle space for accommodating a sample container; a sample container for accommodating the luminescent sample; a radiation receiver apparatus for receiving radiation emitted by the luminescent sample; and an evaluation apparatus for evaluating the radiation from the luminescent sample received by the radiation receiver apparatus. The invention moreover provides a measuring device comprising a base part and a measuring head arranged at the base part in an interchangeable manner, wherein the measuring head is embodied to analyze the luminescent sample or it is embodied as a spectrometer measuring head.

Information of plant based on color of a surface of plant is acquired from image data obtained by imaging plant, allowing to acquire information of plant at low cost, compared to chlorophyll meter or spectroscopic analyzer. In crop production like rice plant, fertilization management including fertilizer application management like fertilizer amount determination, or other agricultural works, is supported through a smart phone or the like based on data to be observed, like converted leaf color value is calculated from image data obtained by crop imaging. Camera is connected to smart phone. Converted leaf color value can be obtained from image data obtained by imaging leaf of rice plant by camera. Converted leaf color value is transmitted to management server, for example, amount information of applied fertilizer is required in case where converted leaf color value is less than standard, can be obtained as management information for fertilizer application management.
